Difficulty in gold II to Plat climb

I did really well in my promos, I did quite well in Gold IV, and jumped to gold II. Then I hit a plateau here, I am being paired against former diamonds, high level plats.

In this case even with a recent string of losses (mainly dependent on my team here, I have done decently well) , I lose a small portion of LP and gain a large amount.

I am curious, if I duo with a bunch of silver friends will the opponent match up be easier? (silvers and golds vs former diamonds and high platS)

So you wanna abuse the system to get easier matchups :)? But im not sure if it works that way.

Dunno, but my feeling is that adding a player to your group just divide the difficulty of the matchs by the number of players in your party. Duo = difficulty / 2. I don't know why, it's just easier no matter what. (near Diamond)

You'll be queued with lower level people while your friends get fucking wrecked in lane. You also gain less LP per win because they're lower mmr. It's not worth it. One cannot carry 4 feeders.
