Why is Morde banned so much?

Half because people don't want to play against it.

Half because people don't want to play AS it.

Can Riot admit it's a fail yet?

he is unreliable if a team does not build AROUND him, as is why he is banned in higher play, that is also why he is not played in lower tier, he cannot carry by himself, but does the damage too. so either you have a pre-made dedicated to help you carry them, or you have to take the chance whether you want to a random with supp.

Because yolo queue retards will pick him for some reason and feed miserably because he's a slow, kiteable Q-reliant champion and won't be hitting diddly-squat vs the likes of Jinx, Kalista or obliterated by Darius

Hes not the worst. If you give him a support that can heal or at least poke enough to protect him he makes it out of the laneing phase and dose alright from there. If you talk nicely to your JG you can actually get out of lane really quickly by getting Dragons ghost to knock down the tower. He seems to do okay in team fights and his late game is pretty strong especially if you can focus one of the enemy team down fast so it becomes a 6v4. Is he a sure win, no. Is he an automatic loss, no. Dose he need Riot to start implementing those bot lane and marksmen changes they have been talking about? Most likely.

that would involve riot admitting they were wrong. which riot (tencent) will never do.

Morde is the best lane bully in botlane, and in soloQ the odds of an ADC coming back from "gets pushed under tower and then Qd" for 10-15 minutes isn't the best
