These Azir Nerfs...

...On the P.B.E. will force me to take to the bottle. Riot, my liver is literally in your hands. Azir is pretty much the only reason I play this mediocre game anymore, and if you make him unplayable by castrating his ult the way you have planned as of now, I will basically have to uninstall from rage/disappointment/boredom. I regret on a regular basis EVER spending any of my hard earned money on unlocking this champion the day he was released because: A.) You couldn't play him until three days later B.) He remained so buggy as to be frustratingly unusable for about a year C.) Has been nerfed in more impactful ways than almost any other champion I've ever read about in patch notes. Perhaps not the most regularly shrekt, but definitely a champion that has received more than his fair share of harsh, frankly misguided nerfs. D.) Has never received any meaningful buffs besides bug fixes, which, mind you, didn't actually fix the bugs they supposedly fixed until about a year after release. E.) Is a champion that Riot feels can dumpster for every player in the world because Faker, the best player in the world, can make some cool plays with him.

The problem with these nerfs too is that they don't address any of his actual problems. The nerfs to wall and to Stinger just dumpster him. It's like Riot just washing their hands of him and saying,"well, we can't balance him, better just make him unsuable so we don't have to deal with him anymore." I take great issue with this for fairly obvious reasons. After the debacle of 5.3, I would like to think that Riot learned that extreme changes to Azir's kit are not ideal. It also strikes me as odd that I, an average player, can look at those nerfs on paper and realize that (experimental or not) they are intended to gut the champion. There is literally no way this champion can be still effective after these nerfs. Yet, the good people at Riot, with their much deeper experience than my own, can't seem to make the same immediate conclusion. And the troubling thing is, even if it sucks on the PBE, they'll still upload it to the main server because, "the results on the PBE don't give us an adequate understanding of how a change will work on live - but we use it for S & G anyway to make players feel like they have an input on the changes to the game."

Please, spare me. Have mercy, ye balance team, I pray thee. Have I not suffered enough?

Same here, I have been playing him basically since I started playing this game and always thought he got a low amount of attention so maybe he wont get nerfed. But now that Faker did some cool tricks with him its to the nerfing anvil for him. Real uncool.

Azir has been nerfed many times and he's still basically the best mid laner in the game. If you think Irelia had everything in her kit when she was overpowered then Azir is Irelia on massive steroids. -Cannot lose to melee champions in lane -Has high DPS and Burst at the same time -Can disengage and engage on you whenever he pleases -One of the best seiging mages in the game -Can't really be seiged against -Massive utility -Mobility -Ranged -Amazing zone control at all stages of the game

What's his weakness exactly? Mana is a problem for him for like 5 minutes and then he's basically manaless for the rest of the game like most other mages.

He has so many flaws in terms of game design that no amount of nerfs will fix his broken and unhealthy playstyle. Just because a champion is hard to play doesn't mean they are allowed to be op af. This guy literally warps midlane into Azir vs. anyone who doesn't get completely pubstomped against Azir.

His nerfs may seem impactful, but he has so much power in his kit already that those nerfs are basically love taps when you look at the power in his kit. 2 seconds on his ult is probably too far but having it at 5/6/7 has always been ridiculous because if you are fighting in the jungle it's basically an autowin for him and his team.

Riot balances around top tier play and pros. They don't care about the majority of their playerbase, because we're all bronze noobs. Obviously game design is best left to the knowledgeable pros, because they know what's best. That's why there's this growing number of absolutely unbeatable champions and no more bans. That's why unpopular champions get gutted with reworks that they don't need, and popular ones are granted every leniency, allowed to dominate for years on end, and buffed anytime the meta shifts away from them.
