you just need to learn the 5 Ds of dodge skillshots. Dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge.

If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a skillshot.

Yasuo Peh, easy. Wind Wall! Lux I CAN HYPER BEAM THROUGH YOUR WALL. Lux FIRST BLOOD Yasuo Yasuo has been disconnected.

Her E can be a bit unfair in lane.

But other than that, there's bigger fish to fry. (cough Katarina cough)

I swear riot goes in a room and snorts coke before coming up with balance ideas

Would you like to provide any insight on which parts of Lux are broken?

her hitboxes are super janky. even an experienced player can misjudge them and get locked into her kill combo if they aren't careful. add to that her base damages and passive make her a monster in laning and her scaling make her a monster lategame and she has the uncanny ability to one shot pretty much anyone not stacking mr even if they are tanks because she has a free lichbane dps passive for melting down tanks faster than azir.

i disagree with the point about her dps passive. lux has a massive problem facing tanks because she can't shred tanks. if she's in auto range of a tank, she can get jumped on very very easily and there's not much she can do due to her immobility. when playing lux, you should never really be in auto range of an enemy tank during teamfights.

I'll give you the danger aspect but it's negated pretty handily with a solid frontline and you can't deny when you see a two item lux bursting down a mr stacking galio for the heck of it that lux doesn't chunk tanks hard.

Leblanc is whack. i dont care who you are that's the truth right there.

lux strength:

  • long range poke
  • some aoe zoning (though not as much as ziggs)
  • high burst
  • frequent availability of her full burst combo compared to other artillery mages
  • some small amount of hard cc (though not as much as zyra, annie, morgana)

lux weaknesses:

  • slow af and vulnerable to getting caught out of position (no escapes)
  • reliant on skillshots, mostly her q to get damage off and not to get caught
  • high mana costs
  • needs to get into auto attack range to access her full damage
  • relatively high cooldowns on base abilities (all around ~10 sec)

looks like a pretty balanced kit.

the problem with her isn't that I can't dodge her binds. Its the frustration when YOUR TEAM cannot. Just results in massive variance of her success rate at various eloes.

At low elo, I often can't match her "free" damage in team fights later even if I play my champion better (Viktor Ziggs Vladimir).

Seems kind of dumb that she's balanced around an ability that SHOULD be easy to dodge (and actually is if you practice the game a lot and have at least mid Silver mechanics) but the fact that you will often have 2 or 3 players who can't dodge/anticipate it means she get BROKEN amounts of free damage (but doesn't if those players aren't around).

Kind of takes the agency away from her laner.

Leblanc is an extremely and more than fair champion who provides ample amounts of counterplay.

If you choose to sit there and go AFK when the sigil is cooking, don't cry in all chat when she turns around and kills you.

Bye!

So you’re saying a champion with:

  • a passive that gives her slipperiness and high outplay potential
  • a point and click spell damage steroid
  • a dash and blink that gives her a relatively safe way of harassing, farming, escaping and blowing someone up on a decent cd
  • ranged CC
  • a damage increase + a spell copying ultimate on a low cd

Is balanced at all? Pairing her with electrocute and every single squishy she breathes on is dead.

All of her damage opportunities come from her skills, all three of which are straight lines with modest travel times. Lux, being primarily mid, will be facing a lot of competition with hard movement or harder CC (silences, stuns). Besides that, she has only a root and a slow, neither of which are gonna stop channels like Katarina, Jhin, Xerath, etc.. She also has limited defensive options when she can't stun-- the shield is small unless it stacks and requires the comeback to get that, which leaves her open.

You should practice against her and focus on dodging her crap, rather than putting on pressure-- with no mana return and poor mana regen options (or at least mage-like options as opposed to support) she can be starved out of her skills fairly easily by dodging reliably.

As a support, she cannot sustain her carry which means consistent pressure from a range will put her down, and since she's squishy, a good tank will sop up most of her effectiveness and give her real trouble if they close in.
