Is ahri's Q ms really the problem?

I ask that you REALLY reconsider why ahri is OP.

Everyone complains about her Q ms, but how much has it really influenced their play vs her? Look back to when she was balls op, needed nerfs to keep the game from imploding. All of those buffs were reverted, and her W and R took nerfs that weren't there before DFG was removed. Her Q ms was the ONLY thing that she got out of it. Now I know that most champions didn't get anything out of DFG's removal, but at least most didn't take nerfs to their kit, like Ahri did (Q mana, E damage, R, and W). Cassiopeia, Akali and Fizz were all nerfed too. Akali to near unplayability, and Fizz to the point where he had to start building AD. As far as the patch notes say, those are the only other nerfs because of DFG's removal. I know that her winrate has been about 53% even after those small nerfs, but has it really been because of her Q ms? I believe that her winrate is artificially high. The majority of her winrate comes from die hard ahri mains with 50+ games on her.

Using Q and E makes her burn 1/4 of her mana, resulting in her having to sit back and farm for a while to avoid going oom. Champions like lux, velkoz, leblanc, lissandra, oriana, zed, fizz, kassadin, corki, talon, anivia, TF, xerath, Morg, Kat, Ziggs, Viktor, Syndra all have 1 or 2 abilities that can help them avoid a gank, or at least survive one. Sure some don't have mobility like ahri, but some have better CC than ahri. The enemy jg still walks at her while charmed, albeit slowed. And some abiltites still work if they are used just before being hit by charm (animation goes while charmed, like thresh hook). I don't know if anyone else thinks this way, but I do believe that people are exaggerating the Q ms to the point where they don't seem to understand why it there in the first place, all I ask is that you reconsider how good it actually is.

I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with me here, but playing extremely aggressive with ahri is fairly difficult. It takes a lot of mana, and most of the time you wont be able to hit the return Q even with the extra ms, merely because of the distance between you and the other laner. Getting ganked burns a lot of mana because it usually results in having to use both Q and E, chunking her for 1/4 of her mana. If she only q's, jg's with gap closers can still easily jump on her, if she uses only E, then the still walk towards her. Neither one itself really solves the situation, but together she can avoid almost any gank. In lane, Dodging her Q is easy enough, if you know how to read her animation. Unless the other laner plays like an idiot and gets hit by charm, you wont be able to solidify a kill, even with your ult up. However, you can kill someone from ~70% hp if you do land charm, aa and hit all 3 procs from your ult. I do agree that that is a lot of damage, but its her entire kit, lux can do the same and she has a shield for an ability. But people don't really complain about her numbers as much as they do her Q ms. What did her Q ms do to make sure she hits charm? she had to land E first, and then Q. The ms is worthless if you are going to use ult anyway.

If she had to be nerfed, I think nerfing her ult damage and scaling would be the best possible nerf to her.

People keep complaining about her numbers, but the only number that has changed was her charm damage, and that took a nerf. They complain about her Q ms, or her W damage but they never really complain about the unnecessary ult damage. about 110x3 damage lvl 6, I think that's a bit ridiculous.

TL:DR Her Q ms is effective in lane vs jg's without gap closers, but vs the other laner its only good if she is the one initiating the poke. Her R damage would be a good nerf to her because its unnecessary damage.

It is not, but boards don't really have an idea on what's balanced and what isn't.

Half of those that claim Ahri is OP don't play her, and the other half can't play her, so when they get rekt by an Ahri player she definitely must be overpowered.

Her scaling is average, her wave clear as well, her mobility is strong, then again that's what she is supposed to do, using her EWQ combo in lane burns more than half her mana.

I agree Ahri's fine tbh

me too, but this is if she HAD to be nerfed. I still don't understand why her E is being nerfed.

I don't think Ahri is OP and I don't particularly care if Ahri gets nerfed or not, but you vastly underestimate how much power soft mobility adds to a champion.

uhm lol using all 3 for damage makes her extremely vulnerable and puts her in great danger if her target didnt die besides you are exaggerating her ult damage may be high but you dont see much of that in the early stages of the game also she kind of needs decent damage on her ult since she has to get pretty close in order to deal this damage champs like Anivia Viktor Swain Galio would shit so hard on her her damage is fine also is the ms boost on her q tbh i cant remember the last time i had problems against ahri guess the reason why people think she is op is that she is good at catching others out of position

Well yeah I know, I'm not saying it should be nerfed, I'm saying that if she HAD to be nerfed, I think that would be the only thing worth nerfing.
