Why isnt Gragas more popular?

Honestly, I didnt play him much until recently either because hes a Champion that the whole community, myself inclused just seemed to have forgotten about...

Then I saw him picked in a pro game once as a support and tried it out myself... And HOLY HELL, he is fun to play and he is very strong, at least in the support role, havent played him anywhere else.

Actually I think that guy might be better at disengaging teamfights than the Queen Janna herself... And at the same time he can force fights because his Ult is literally Janna + Beta level Flash. His Ultimate keeps him healthy in lane and his E gets a super low CD lategame...

So why is that beast of a champ ot played like... at all?

I cant remember even once Gragas in like the last 2 Seasons...

Strange, I am through your match history, and up until now i only saw one Gragas...

I see two in my last 10 games, so every other was probably slightly exaggerated, although I usually play top/jgl myself so there may be even more Gragas players. And 20%pickrate is still decent enough.

E: and I count 8 in my last 40 ranked games.

I thought about Lissandra too I have to admit. Her Ultimate seems awesome if an Assassin jumps your ADC, since you can just freeze the Assassin and your team can pop him... Also her Q looks like she could farm Frostqueens all day without even trying^^

But what really turned me of is that her mana costs are so high. For engaging, she would need 2 Spells and I kinda dont like it when one ability is literally only another part of another ability...
