"I pinged"

Do you ever get those games where enemy leaves lane and comes to your lane for the quick grief? Then when you say something to your ally, they reply "I Pinged".

Is it just me, or shouldn't you be doing more than just pinging MIA when your opponent decides to roam? I swear, every time I'm Top Lane and my enemy Mid Laner comes in hot with the Jungle for full beast mode, I'll get my Jungle to come help me hold things down.. scroll to Mid Lane and they're leisurely last-hitting their cs.

It's like "Tiptoe through the Tulips" is playing Mid, and Top Lane is a virtual moshpit. Mid; Tiptoe through the Tulips. Top: Clouds over California. Mid: Mozart. Top: Pantera. Mid: Green Eggs and Ham. Top: The Divine Comedy, Dante's Inferno.

  1. If they don't have vision, they can't safely follow.
  2. If they lose vision while following, they have to stay away from where they lost vision until the enemy mid reappears.
  3. If they're immobile and the enemy jungle's location isn't known, they can't safely follow.
  4. If they can't duel the other champion in the river, they have to stay 3-5 seconds behind even if they do follow.
  5. If by the time they can safely follow you're likely dead, it's not worth it for them to waste time walking up to your lane.
  6. If your lane or their lane is fed, it's not worth following, regardless.

Whether or not you can follow your opponent or even push when they leave the lane is entirely dependent on the match up and the enemy jungle.

No. My map awareness is terrible and I get rekt by the enemy mid all the time. I'd still rather they stayed in their lane and get whatever hits in that they can on their tower while we both die than have them try to follow the roam only to get killed by the jungler. Stay and punish. Do not counter-roam.
