having a problem landing my hecarim charge :(

I've been playing hecarim for a while now, I have about 40,000 mastery points and I have him lv 7 mastery. However, one major issue I have with him while I'm ganking is landing my E when a creep wave approaches my target. I can usually hit my target successfully and from the angle I want, but I occasionally fuck up and hit the minion my target was standing on, often leading to my teammates flaming me and spam pinging enemies missing. Is there any setting I can change or something I can do to make sure I can consistently get a proper charge off or will I be bronze forever?

Forgot to add, my main problem is that I accidentally hit creeps instead of the target champion.

I mean, it's just a matter of controlling your mouse and knowing what you're doing, along with practice.

I wish they would fix targeting for everyone, im sure you can relate to my frustration when i play morde and my third Q hits a minion right next to/under the almost dead champ
