Jax is gay to fight :0

I have such a huge issue with Jax. He does mixed damage, has a leap, dodge and stun mechanic, a rageblade passive and gets resistances for nothing!

Most of the "counterplays" I've read is to "CC him to death." which is stupid. That's how you counter EVERYbody. What if I don't have CC? What if I don't have CC? What then? Feed out my Kassadin?

I also like how his "Counter Strike" isn't even what it says it is. You don't "counterattack" and stun, you just attack and stun, no matter whether you did dodge an AA or not. It's stupid! Make it do what it says it should do!

You pop your "Counter" Strike and then if someone hits you while you're doing it, THEN you stun them. Otherwise you just do damage.

Right now I have no idea how to fight a Jax in a 1v1.

Feels really great when Jax builds Cleaver and then stacks armor and MR and does more damage than crit Yi.

Obviously there's no point of saying "NERF JAX OMG" since I'm just a pawn among millions, so who cares what I have to say?

But I would like for Jax to get a rework. Maybe just a huge bundled package featuring a VU, Lore updates and a rework where he's strong, but not "I'll 1v1 you in 5 seconds and there's nothing you can do." strong.

Reduce his attack speed item 3110 Malphite Don't play AA reliant champs against him Pick champs that deal more damage than he does early game Pick champs with a lot of sustain or range

Couterstrike does counterstrike though; it has a damage component that scales with damage done to Jax during it.

Try not amping his damage up by attacking him while he has it on.

...And this is why 12 year olds should stay away from the boards.

Playing around cooldowns and dash ranges is something you'll need to learn to do to improve. Step one is knowing what the relative cooldowns are for each champion so you can develop a plan for how to trade with and fight them. In the jax example, his counterstrike has a very long cooldown early game and it's the spell he generally maxes last. That means you need to play around the fact that he is stronger when he has his counterstrike ready and be ready to punish him when it's down. You also need to learn reliable ways to GET people's cooldowns down before you try to all in them, such as by doing a short trade ahead of time that forces jax to use his counterstrike if he doesn't want to get chunked for free - then going in on him sometime in the next 20 seconds wheen it's not available.

On a side note I've heard Syndra and Akali work as well.

Think the better question is what doesn't counter Jax these days. I don't even see him do well very often on 3v3, which is where most melees shine.
