Ahri seriously needs a powershift.

I'm all for buffing her Q range and damage if it means increasing the cooldown duration between dashes on her ult.

Nerf her E and give her a passive.

Revert the E duration buff but keep the reduced mana cost.

Bring some scaling off her ultimate and give it to mostly her Q and some to her W, I guess?

And yeah, give her an actual passive. The speed boost should stay (I guess) but if it were more interactive that'd be nice. No need to be going Mach 5 though.

Agree on the Charm and passive, though I'm willing to wait on the passive until they do some serious restructuring (Right now, it'd likely cost damage from somewhere else to get a real passive, and then we end up back in season 7).

Ult ratio changes may be a bad idea, though: it's damage she can rarely access, and forces her closer since it's the shortest-range ability she has. Move the damage out, and she gets access to it at all times, and has less reason to Ult close. Then there's where to put it: buff W, and everyone gets mad about undodgeable damage. Buff Q, and you buff both her poke and her waveclear, and now you really have a problem.

What if the Ult damage started lower, but increased with each consecutive hit? Same overall if she commits, but a larger reduction if she has to use one defensively.

Bro lol all they gave was .4 sec at level 1 thats it. That aint shyt. It means nothing. Her winrate went up because A more people started playing her because they think its a huge buff. People believe whaat they choose to believe. Did that .4 make any difference umm no it did not. What you could do now you can do before.

I'm not sure that's the best way to go about it.

Toning damage out of W and R is probably a good place to start. Shift her primary bits of damage into Q and E, since they're actual skillshots.

I may have misphrased it. I meant either buff her Q damage or range, not both. Giving her both would be overkill. I like to see her more of a mage than a mobile assassin.

I meant the spreading out the R uses bit, not the rest.

Ahri's core identity is being a hybrid between mage and assassin. That is what makes Ahri Ahri the most. Ahri should be designed as a highly-mobile mage, and things that pull her away from that identity and push her towards a different one should be avoided.

Increasing the internal R cooldown will just make her feel more clunky, and won't fix many of the issues with her anyways.

The best ways to nerf Ahri, in my personal opinion, would be decreasing W and E damage against champions (At the very least, keep W consistent against non-champions, as it's fairly common to use it to help kill a tougher minion), or maybe increasing the cooldown on a missed E, while keeping it the same (or possibly even reducing it) on one you hit. Nerfing passive MS duration would also be fine, or nerfing her Q's heal, although personally those don't seem too problematic right now.

Kassadin was made to be the mobile anti-mage. Even after his silence removal his R got gutted repeatedly because how oppressively mobile he was. If Kassadin is allowed to rift limp, so should ahri.

The difference is that Kassadin's R is on no real cooldown: the only limitation is your mana total, while Ahri's is locked to 3 dashes in a 10 second window every ~80-40 seconds.\

Have you ever played Kassadin? He has a 6 second CD with a delayed cast at level 6 with 500 range compared to ahri's triple dash on 1 second CD at 450 range. If your argument is ahri deserve mobility because it's her identity, then Kassadin deserve it more. There's a reason why Kassadin mostly sit below a 50% W/R since 2014 compared to ahri 50%+ win rate.

6 seconds. At rank 1, with no CDR. As opposed to the ~37s CD per dash of Ahri's ult (110 at rank 1, 0 CDR).

It has a 1s internal CD, sure, but the total cooldown per dash is significantly larger.

If you think Ahri's ult is so balanced and Kassadin ult is unfair, I'm fine with them swaping ults. Give Kassadin a 110s CD triple dash and ahri a 6s blink. I want to see her win rate when she can't reposition herself three times in a fight.

DuskDaUmbreon1 votes

I never said that it was unfair. I said that it was a very different case. Kassadin gets a lot more blinks, but spread out over a longer period of time. Ahri gets only 3 blinks in that same timeframe, but she gets to use them all in just 2 seconds, if she wants. "Burst" mobility versus "Sustained" mobility, essentially.

Also, let's not pretend that Kassadin is stuck at 6 seconds for the entire game. It scales down to 2s base CD, and you still get CDR, dropping it to ~1.2 seconds at the lowest.

it's an orrible idea,in this way you just make her more clunky to play and encourage her safe playstyle

having more range on her abilities encourage her to spam them from the distance like a lux/xerath and the increased dashes delay to use her ult only as escape instead of engage

you end up giving her more safeness and rewarding her even less for aggressive plays, which is exactly the opposite of what she needs

Her E CC should be nerfed back to it's original levels.

HalcyonDweller1 votes

Increasing the internal cooldown between casts of her ultimate seems like a very reasonable way to add counterplay and thus increase room in her power budget to give power elsewhere.

WalkingInACircle1 votes

If you want to nerf her nerf her ultimate's cooldown.

Veyazeone1 votes

a champ with true damage on a aoe spell, a 2 second cc that forces your champion to slowly walk towards her and 3 dashes should definetly need buffs compared to viktor or ryze haha.

Hypochondria91 votes

They should add more mobility to her base skills and remove it from her ult.
