Why do people insist on dragging out a game

Then lose because they dragged it out. Why do people bother this. I've had so many matches where we could of ended but my team refused and just taunted/trying to pick kills. Seriously this is so fucking tilting. Why bother extending the match then lose when you could get the LP and move on.
