Auto warn, then ban, players who never build vision in ranked play as support

Lets be honest, we all hate when the support doesn't build any vision, and instead wants to be an AP carry hero with Veigar or Annie support.

I think none of us will lose sleep if people who are in the support role, and don't ever build vision in the course of the game, are warned and then suspended.

Too strick? Too bad. This is ranked, and people shouldn't have to deal with the frustration of losing couple with never even having a fair shot at winning because the support trolled the team.

Little harsh. If a support isn't building vision, and their team suffers for it, the support will eventually drop ranks to a level appropriate for such play. It's just a gameplay decision; I don't think it warrants a punishment if all they're doing is playing in a sub-optimal manner.

I'm a support main entirely in the camp that sighthstone is essential, but enforcing it is problematic. There's too much grey area.

What if you're doing something off-meta, like a duo-carry kill lane? What if your adc is so incredibly unskilled that you can't get cash? What if you're winning by so much that everybody just builds full damage and proceeds to steamroll? What if the other team is doing something off-meta, like duo top, so you don't fear ganks? What if you're such a bad player that you don't understand the value of vision?

Builds simply shouldn't be enforced. Build well and play well, or build poorly and fail. Let's not actually make rules governing it.

most of the complaints about bad supports are usually from support mains.

i play a ton of support and it makes me want to gouge my eyes out when i see one who doesnt build a sightstone... especially as a meta support champ.

and let's be honest here... are you seriously fucking defending supports that dont use vision? gtfo

Yeah there's no rule that says the support has to build vision, so this isn't going to happen.

The supports who don't do vision will be stuck in low bronze though, and other players who play at a bronze+ level while in bronze will still trend up and away from those sorts (as they'll as frequently face visionless opponents as they will be visionless themselves, so the 'troll' supports will balance out on average).
