Instead of just throwing a statistic like this around, perhaps explain the causation behind the statistic. There are thousands of variables that go into a winrate, chalking it up to "op" is not always the honest thing to do.

I did this in response to the latest master yi thread, the one that says that he has a 51% winrate and 10% playrate

Well from a statistic point of view the relationship between Play rate and win rate is that the lower the play rate the higher the win rate as it should be only mains playing the champ. When a champ has a high winrate and a high play that is normally an indication a champion is providing too much of a success rate and a possible indication they may be too strong.

When it comes statistical analysis involving outside/unknown or uncontrollable variables the best way to counteract that is randomisation which is technically applied in your league matches as the teammates and the champs they play are all random therefore solving this issue. All champs statistically have the same randomisation applied to their stats as well and are therefore technically on equal footing.

Not neccisaraly, champions like urgot have had super low winrates despite having a low playrate. The reason for this is that most of the games played on him ended up being trolls. The same case can be made for ahri where despite having an extremely high playrate, over 70% of all her games were played by dedicated ahri players. the # of mains is only one variable in the winrate % though.
