I've lost 3 games in a row to the same troll (whom was reported after game one) and stuck in bronze hell forever it seems. I win one game, gain 20 points, lose the next one and lose 25 points.. I know this is my first ranked season, but already it's leaving a sour taste in my mouth about the incompetence of the ranked system and riots inability to actually promote and maintain a general troll free environment in games.
H0riz0n2341 votesI started ranked in near the beginning of last season. Bronze rank never gets better. To many trolls and unskilled players so I suggest you give up on ranked. I play Dota 2 now because you dont see trolls and mistakes on the game are less consequential so making a comeback is much easier.

"MY actions got that player banned." And having that power turns the game more into a report war to get people you don't like banned, instead of reporting for the sake of justice.

I mean Just because you report a player doesn't mean they are automatically just going to get banned(or at least I hope so). What I would suggest is maybe reporting a player then like a day later or two ask if you are sure about this because in the heat of the game some actions are made irrational because of anger, Just a thought though. And if it is too much they need to figure out something and hopefully soon.

To think so is idiotic and you are looking through rose colored glasses trying to express your rage and justify yourself by blaming someone else. People can have off days that just one small thing can set them off. It happens to me although im often more quiet in game about it. Just because it bans some player doesnt mean every case can happen. Other times as i said before people are just having a bad day and decide to take it out on someone else.
Get off your high horse, realize you suck ( as every single person in this game, even those in challenger needs to), and continue playing. If you were meant to get out of bronze you will. If not you will stay there until you learn what you are doing wrong and need to improve upon.
Dont blame riot for the acts of people they cant control. They try their best, sure the report system could be better, but if you expect perfection you will always be dissapointed

There needs to be more severe punishments for players like this, and a system put in place to compensate the players that are affected.

Riot is like the goverment, we the players are the citizens. The goverment can try its darndest but there will still be people who go around shooting, stabbing, stabbing people with needles laced with aids (thanks quebec), people who traffic other human beings, those who steal, rape, and violate all forms of human rights and dignity. What does the goverment do? They try their hardest. There are punishments for those people. We have all seen the perma bans and the bans and the restrictions. Do we ever feel like it is enough? Some might say yes, but the majority say no. However try stepping into the shoes of a riot employee. You would want to do your best right?
Im going to assume you are a decent human being who will say yes. Great you said yes. However theres a problem that needs to be solved. Do you specialize in creating code in stopping people who are considered toxic/ is it your job in the company? If no is the response to both or even just 1 of them then you instantly are bound. The first because you are still inexperienced in that field and need to learn. For the 2nd you are probably so busy with other details that you cant spend that extra time fixing the problem.
But lets assume that you say yes to both of those situations. Now we have the problem of how do you improve the quality of the tribunal system without harming the innocent players? Lets be serious here, other players will report you just because you had one bad game, they will swear and curse you out, I am pretty sure there isnt a single player exempted from these type of harassment. (Sadly this game has devolved where it occurs on a regular basis) Even being a model citizen you will still receive reports. If the game were to grab each player with a few bans and provide punishment surely innocents would get caught in the crossfire. I would loath if I was reported by an entire lobby because my dog was just hit by a car, or my brother broke his arm so I had to rush him to the emergency room (yes these situations are extreme, im using them because it would be insult added to injury) That is not even remotely close to what we want. If you say yes I wont be seeing you since every single player will probably be banned within a month.
Now back to the situation of implementing the system. You cant just do it by yourself, we are all subject to failure and no one is perfect, you yourself cannot make the perfect program. So you have to do it with the company. Suddenly things you never thought about pop up. What is the full impact of the system? Its all just theory until put into practice but you can get a good idea from others. Its a process that we would all love to think is a quick and painless one, however it is most difficult to fully apply.
And lets be serious even with an improvement people will still complain. Its just how people are. People complain about riot not being able to do anything against an AFK or someone who loses internet connection like riot can actually stop that from happening I complained when they nerfed irelia's heal on her W, I complained when they nerfed Mordekaisers passive and damage. However I learned to deal with it since I realized the nerfs werent as bad as everyone made them out to be. Sure I wasnt as strong in lane but I could still lane, and the effect I had on the game was nearly the same. I had to pick my battles more wisely but I could still play just as I had before. Life isnt perfect, we all have to deal with jerks and people who we hate.
However I will share some advice from my father who was extremely liked and successful in his job "You will always have to work with people you dont like, but it is your own choice on how you act"
In an end note, I had a game a few weeks ago where my entire team was fighting. it was Lux and Garen vs Blitz and ashe. I was the jungler caught in the middle of it. I was on an 8 loss streak and it pained me to see an easy game go down the drain so easily. Finally after a quick quip to the enemy team asking them to surrender so that I could stop my loss streak something in the blitz switched on and he asked ashe to stop the fighting with garen and lux so we could win just for me. I easily could have raged, I easily could have afked or accepted defeat but it seemed my 45 mins of trying to get them to stop fighting finally won in the end. Im not saying this will be every case but choose for yourself how to act. If more people were to choose positively we wouldnt have to worry so much about the tribunal. Now thats a very extremely optemistic view but one I think should be adopted

Along with that, using voice chat like Curse Voice or Skype makes communication more efficient, faster, and easier. :D good luck on the field!

I would have been 10 Wins 0 Losses in placements if it weren't for these tools.
My only losses in Ranked Placements were when I was last pick, relegated to support, 1st pick on my team picked LeBlanc, and the LeBlanc fed, abused, refused to cooperate and started spamming /ff @ 20 ten minutes into the game.
