Leaving queue should not have a penalty unless you do it ALL THE TIME.

When your first pick picks Teemo (already a bad idea)... then the 2nd pick picks Darius... 3rd pick picks Wukong (top)... and 4th pick picks Sion (top)... Why do you have to lose lp for dodging that? That's ridiculous. There should be no penalty. God forbid its a promo! A system for ranked promotion should be 100% based off of personal performance in game. It makes no sense that you solo queue alone, then because of other people are forced to play an extra two games just because they want to be annoyances and provoke people. I understand the elo system, when we are talking about full 5v5 pre-mades. But you really need to implement something different and more appropriate for the solo queue. My friend was in his DIAMOND 5 promo and got 2 mid picks who both went mid. Its not just the low elo's. Its all of solo queue. I know all that riot gives a shit about is the top .01% but how about facilitating the other 99.9% of your player base by tweeking the REALLY REALLY REALLY inaccurate elo system, and taking out senseless penalties. There is literally NO REASON that you should lose lp or elo for dodging what you KNOW FOR A FACT will be 20-50 minutes of your life lost... actually.. make that 40-100 minutes because you have to play an extra game to make up for the lp you lost. Rammus Okay?

I can understand losing a little lp for dodging, because you lose less dodging than you would have if you actually played the game and lost. What doesn't make sense is how dodging counts as a loss for your promos. You're forced to either play with a toxic/trolling player and hope your team can pull out a win, or leave and fail promos.

Someones mad. I understand what you are saying, but if there were no penalties to dodging EVERYONE would do it. Back in S2 or S3(or maybe was earlier then this, forgot when) there were NO penalties to dodging, just the usual increased time to go back into queue for a dodge. If a team wasn't "ideal" to the player they would just dodge it. At least this feature helped stop people dodging. The problem is you only lose LP's now, not MMR, though I'm going to assume that this is irrelevant to the current discussion. While its true you're basically almost guaranteed a loss when you have a poor team comp, just play it out. TECHNICALLY you're the same "level" as your opponents, so if your team plays well you can possibly win a game you expected to lose. Also its better to view ranked as a measuring tool as to how "good" you are, not just raising ranks. Its easier to think of the game as 1v9 and you trying to solo carry, with the fact that if your teammates actually do well, it helps bring it closer to 5v5. Look at improving yourself, regardless of how badly the game goes and you'll be fine.

Also if 20-50 or 40-100 minutes of your life is SOOOO important I don't think you should bother wasting it on a video game, as there are plenty of other more productive things you can do with your time.

I'd say Queue dodge shouldn't count as a loss on promo series that's just really bad design, even when you crash and that's out of your control it will still count as a loss or will eventually just eliminate you out of your promotion matches, which I find unfair and a pretty dumb idea to whomever thought about it.

Make que dodge have no penalty on promo series.

Leave the lp loss but maybe have a minute cooldown for next que first dodge instead of 5? (To make sure you won't get matched with the same team)

Although. I don't think dodging for someone picking a champion should happen realistically. I do not think people trolling over someone picking a champion should happen either.
