Vi has fallen behind quite a bit as the go to, reliable single-target chaser.
Since Vi's release, champions have been given more mobility and ways to avoid taken damage from targeted abilities (Tahm Kench, Bard, etc.). I think Vi would benefit from...
-
A cooldown increase on her ultimate.
-
A reliability update for her ultimate (ex. sticking close to targets that are untargetable to wait for them to come out of the effect before lifting them up and slamming them back into the ground).
-
A defensive buff to her ultimate (ex. perhaps some armor and mr as she dashes or complete crowd-control immunity as opposed to just being unstoppable during the dash).
I propose these ideas because of my experience with playing Vi. It feels really, really bad to use such a high cooldown ultimate on a target that just completely negates it with a basic ability (
) when the ability is centered on the theme of reliability. In exchange for a QoL buff, I think it would be fair to increase the cooldown of her ultimate. When she does use it, however, she WILL pound her target - that's what I imagine Vi's ultimate to promise.
What do you think fellow League players? I know Vi can be considered balanced the way she is at the current moment, but she really deserves some feel changes to ensure her ultimate is truly reliable.
