Dragons: Great, need to be tuned slightly Jungle Timers: Fine Towers: Better Mage Item: Time will tell, but mana has become more annoying Item Changes: Overtuned, but probably fine(Guinsoo's too op on on-hit champs, switch to every third and it'll probably be fine) Grounded: Is neat, a real game changer, and possibly the best part of the update. I wish Malz still had his AoE so they could put Grounded on it.

Mage Changes: Excepting Annie, and I've heard Brand, flatly bad. Seems like the designers did not really understand how to make mage gameplay fun, and instead made them slow and awkward. Hopefully this is not the new direction of mages.

As a Brand main, I am fairly confident the Brand update is flatly bad also, and people will see it as soon as they get ovet the passive gimmick.

I really don't understand the whole mage update within the rest of league. Almost all of the major updates to mages have made them into one-trick ponies and taken out any flexibility in their design. Apparently, this is "diversity." I think it is a total blunder.

Most of them are much worse early/in-lane, but then early objectives are buffed. How does it encourage you to play a mage if your mage can't contribute as well to the newly buffed jungle objectives? Isn't that backwards?

The items and objectives can be tweaked, and I am confident that they will get this sorted. The mage update just looks like a total, conceptual catastrophe. Some of these designs are destined for the overtuned/undertuned by design trajedy.

The only issue I have based on the champions I've played so far is the removal of the 1.5% mana recovery on Cass. Now it is really hard to manage mana on her which I get is sort of the point however you're trying to encourage her to last hit using twin fang (and with the most awkward attack animation you kind of have to) which is not the easiest if you don't have your targets poisoned and only becomes stronger with her leveling on un-poisoned targets.

Haven't played enough to be certain, but I think Ziggs is in a better spot.

I started playing Brand in Mid and and Support. Yes his damage early game is weaker. But late game team fights, with his passive and 800AP, Hit combo hits like a truck. It is all about timing on your abilities, now, can't just throw them whenever.
