Certain Abilities are too powerful to be Targeted

As the Title states are are some abilities in the game that are just too strong to be point and click. And Riot has fixed a lot of them. Things like Warwick ult. You used to be able to just click on the ADC and lock them down. Now its a skill shot. Sure it got some buffs, but in the end. Now the ability can be body blocked.

Another example of something too strong to be targeted that was changed was Rengar E. It used to be Targeted so you could get 5 stacks ult. and while leaping at them press E and guarantee the snare. now it actually requires him to hit it and he cant use it over minions.

There are endless examples of things that were changed for the better of league of legends.

Thing is that there is still 1 that really needs to be changed. This ability has similarites to Malzahar ult, but at least his is an ult that also CCs him.

No im talking about the most obnoxious CC ability in the game. Polymorph. This shit needs to be a champion only skill shot. This will force the lulu to position better instead of just clicking on any assassin and completely negating them. Now things to negate assassins do belong in the game, but the assassin should have a chance to outplay it. Sadly in the current state of polymorph. there is no outplaying point and click instantaneous lockdown.

Polymorph does 0 damage. Literally all it does is the CC. There are a lot more egregious abilities in the game.

Lulu's kit as a whole is pretty fucking stupid though. It's a lot more complicated of a problem than just her CC or her shield.

It's always the whole kit that makes a champion problematic. Why don't you complain about Fiddle's fear? It lasts longer than Polymorph.

Fiddle's kit as a whole is honestly worse than Lulu.

Lulu? Yeah, she's annoying. But odds are she won't kill you. She'll just be annoying. She'll cockblock you and piss you off, but that's about it.

Fiddle? Eat non-stop crows from a lane away, and be silenced so you can't engage or fight back. Get feared and half your health drained if you come close. Eat an AoE DoT more damaging than Morg's W and larger than her R - if you're not already dead from EEEEEEEEEEE.

I'm all for skillshots replacing targeted abilities; more rewarding to hit, less frustrating to get hit by, simple as that.

However, the problem isn't that they're too powerful. Every ability has a set power-budget. Things like damage, duration of cc, range, etc. all contribute to filling the power-budget, as well as having the ability be a skillshot or targeted.

So when an ability that's "too powerful to be targeted" gets turned into a skillshot, it get's even more powerful to maintain it's power-budget.

TF Yellow Card. Piss Yellow, to be exact.

the only reason TF is allowed to have W be a targeted is because they have put like 90% of his power budget into it. His Q only lands if they are stunned. and his e is an Enhanced auto on an AP champ..... and his Ult it a teleport.

So while the ability is nuts. They have decided to make that ability like 90% of his power budget.

Lulu is a mechanically intensive and high skill ceiling champion.

She still needs to properly use her polymorph.

Totally agree, game would be more skill based if more stuff had to be aimed instead targetted.

Sure. Problem is: Lulu's polymorph lasts a second. And assassins all have high-damage point and click abilities. Name one assassin that isn't point and click or always point-blank following a point and click.

There are two. Precisely two. And they're not actually assassins, they're kite mages.

Zed. His primary damage is a skill shot.

SA Kayn. 2 skill shots.

Nidalee Spear has to land to burst someone

Yasuo. Q is a skill shot

Evelynn. Q is a skill shot initially which is what is used to proc charm 99% of the time

Those are the ones with their primary damage abilities being skill shots.

and Polymorph lasts 2.25 seconds at max rank and 1.25 at base rank. So it actually lasts quite a while once you put points into it.

Its a point and click that completely negates an entire class of champion. It should be a skill shot so someone can actually out play it.
