I'm going to use this to describe champions I'm salty playing against. Thanks.

Your main combo in lane if you're not confident is W>Q>Auto, but if you are confident it's Q>W>Auto.
Late game it's a similar thing but throw your R in too.
Talon's possibly hardest, yet most efficient damage combo is to throw out your W, instantly Q, and while you're mid-air throw out your R, making the Q converge the blades and subsequent auto will proc your passive.
Tiamat is a must every game, most games build situational defensive boots but if you're ahead as heck go for mobis to roam for more free kills.
I haven't played with Talon for a good while, but I will offer a bit of advice:
At level 2, Talon can actually all in with passive, Q, and W. However, sequencing is important here, as is knowing whether the bleed will be lethal or not. Basically against enemies with more range, Q to close the gap, W to slow and apply the last two stacks for his passive, then auto to proc the passive. The biggest issue here is attracting minion aggro, but it still helps early game.
For E, I'm going to suggest something unorthodox and say wait until either you expect to be ganked or you expect to gank yourself. While it is an amazing ability as far as mobility goes, it provides nothing for Talon's damage, and due to midlane being a straight path instead of a corner, there is less viable terrain to work with to escape the opposing midlaner, and can even exploited by artillery mages if they are familiar with the landing trajectory.
Other than that, can't say much on the matter.
Be aggressive and look for a first blood. Get Tiamat so you can shove the wave hard, then make your way around the map for ganks. Talon scales horribly (probably the worst in the game) to late game, so you need to end the game FAST.
Press E more.
