Breaking the meta: Nasus support (And Caitlyn ADC)
Hi. I'm clearly a virgin, otherwise known as cav to my friends. I've posted a meta breaking Tanky Zilean top guide a lil' while ago and here I am again for another meta breaker.
This time we're in the bot lane with the star of the show being Nasus support. This idea sparked when I was doing some late night reading. Looking over champions specific scalings, abilities, and anything else I wouldn't know on wiki when I passed over Nasus and read that at max rank his W slowed movement speed by 95% and attack speed by 47.5% I continued to read and saw his E not only dealt a lot of early game damage but shredded armor and his ult did % damage. So I started to think to use this as support.
First off, the scores for each game. http://i.gyazo.com/1d7f8268b27f54b8bf8cde50160e650f.png

This was our first game. Nasus was experimenting on what to build. He wanted to pull a Keyori and rush a Mejai's
because we were so far ahead.
In that game both Corki and Zyra underestimated Nasus and attempted to engage early. Which I assumed was their plan with their comp in bot lane. They were surprised by one E of nasus and an auto from me took zyra to half health but by then it was too late. Nasus used his W, slowed Zyra and it was first blood for us. At exactly 4:20 in the game (Yes haha, 420) I got my B.F. sword and we dominated bot lane from there ending in victory.

Fizz naturally being strong and MF being also extremely strong. They had a kill lane. Because of their kill lane they were too confident in their damage and also gave up first blood. That game I obtained my B.F. sword at 7:32
http://i.gyazo.com/5e5dd2c7f6b783246c06d321223ca5c8.png This was our last game. This bot lane was the only one I actually feared because I am a support main, maining Morgana and even though I know her workings in and out I also know how strong she is and not to underestimate her. This lane played very cautiously and didn't allow us to get too far ahead within the first few minutes. We being over confident gave first blood to an early Nunu gank nonetheless. The power of the lane proved to be more than just an early game cheese comp. Nunu attempted to gank again after we gave two kills but we came out ahead, myself getting two kills and Nasus getting one, Nasus was just too strong with his armor shred and W. Quinn could never get close to me as I would shred Morgana. and then Nunu lastly ulting Quinn.
How to play this lane: I suggest you take Nasus AP. He is complimented nicely by Caitlyn. I feel this is true because of her incredible range. When Nasus lands a W on the enemy you will out range any ADC except Trist post lvl 13 and Kog'Maw. This allows for you to get free harass. Your enemy ADC being left with the choices of. 1) Walk away and still be autoed as they try to get away while hopefully they are stuck in Nasus' E for armor shred. 2) Walk towards you as Caitlyn, attempting to get close enough to auto you while slowed, in this case you will kite them backwards with autos while they stand in Nasus' E armor shredding them. I suggest starting E on Nasus for early game engages. You really wanna try to force something early since Nasus has so much early game damage with his E. I do not suggest taking Q at all til the very end. You want your E and W to be as strong as possible. E being the skill you want most. I would only suggest prioritizing W over E if you are behind or if your enemy laner is auto attack reliant. For example I would not prioritize it on Corki but I would on MF and Quinn. Which is what I suggested to Nasus until we got ahead over MF. Then I suggested he start prioritizing E.
What to build:
Now you may notice Nasus did not have a gold generating item in any of those screen shots. That was because he had sold it once we were ahead and continued to snowball. I would suggest starting Spell Thief
and after upgrading it once building a ROA. (Rod of Ages.)
You want to become as tanky as possible while still producing some nice AP damage. Now if you are behind and or just don't have the gold for the ROA it is perfectly fine to finish a gold generating item. I would also suggest you build a sight stone unless you want to constantly be purchasing wards. Even though I suggest Nasus get a sight stone
he decided not to. Now this did not mean he did not ward. Nasus had constant vision in our lane so it was perfectly fine. If you can maintain vision without a sight stone then by all means do not build one.
After your ROA I would suggest you build a sunfire
this item along with you ult deals tons of damage just by standing near the enemies.
Tips and tricks: Nasus already has quite a large character model and hit box that only increases once he ults. Use this to your advantage against supports and ADCs with skill shots such as Morgana, Braum, and Ezreal. You can also body block skill shots to lessen their damage. If you do decide to play with a Caitlyn time your skills together. For example when I got a head shot Nasus would W and E them, I would then head shot them and with their slowed movement speed land a guaranteed Q. Dealing tons of damage. This applies with Caitlyns ult as well, though in that situation you would want to slow the person that will be trying to body block Caitlyns ult and E the person Caitlyn has locked onto. That's all my tips and trick for now. It's kind of late here so if I forgot any and remember them later I will add them here.
I hope you enjoyed this guide and test it out yourself, tell me what you think of it. I'd love to hear your opinions.
See you all on SR - cav
