Best support for Kalista

So I had on my team a duo that played yasuo and kalista bot, (yasuo as support) and it was ridiculously so scary. Even with Kalista having DC'ed 7 times in the first 15 mins and feeding graves 7 kills they could actually 2v2 their bot no problem, i even saw them 2v4. That ult is so OP if used correctly

So im wondering what other rediculous and awesome mixes have people found with kalista? Also any tricks people have found for kalista? I know you can get your support to engage in a bad situation let the team escape and then kalista ults and your support is also safe

Janna/Nami/Thresh are great with everyone. Braum is okay. Alistar is great with Kalista, he basically gets two W+Q combo's.

0-o just realized how great it is with alistar, I dont feel as if Nami or thresh actually benefit a ton from kalistas ultimate tho. Im thinking her best supports are the ones who actually gain a lot from her ultimate in terms of utility

Nami and Thresh aren't the best via ultimate synergy, they're just god overall and good with everyone.

Alistar+Kalista is pretty sick.

To elaborate on the janna combo, kalista ulting janna into an enemy, then janna ulting them out of position is quite powerful in theory. My actual attempts at implementation have been lackluster, but in theory it'd work great.

Not super fun or outside-the-box, but effective.

I've had a lot of luck with Thresh as my supp. Chain > Fate's Call > Box OP. There's a million things you can do with Thresh if he's pretty decent.

IMO yasuo support is terribly no matter who the adc is. Let me clearify though. Just because you play yas bot lane, doesnt make hin a support. Im quessing this yas still build damage first instead of all tthe good support items so I would say that your team just didnt haave a support, you had an extra fighter. That isnt to say it isnt a bad idea to do yas kalista bot, its just that "Which support works best with kalista" implies other top picks than yasou to me.

now let me confuse you more and say that the I think The best support for kalista is urgot. Urgots main disadvantage is low mobility which kalista remedies quite well with her ultimate. Urgots ult is great for 2v2 skirmishes. Both champs excell in extended trades but urgot can still make effective short trades at early levels. As for items, the only non support item that I recomend is triforce. You can definitly rush a support item but its god to atleast be sitting on a phage for the tankyness. Other good team support items that are pretty crucial are frozen heard for the aura debuff and a black cleaver. Black cleaver is just a great item for him because of how fast the DOT of his E stacks the armor reduction. You can also write it off as a support item because your allies benefit from the armor reduction. Obviously urgotXs main utility is from his passive which will be great no matter the items so you can even skip The triforce and go more supporty.
