A message from all Rengar mains

This is going to be a bit of a rant, so prepare your seatbelts for this one.

It's been about 5 months now since the assassin rework hit live, and people are getting used to the new assassin playstyles. New champions see pro play, other champions become meta for once to counter the assassins, and everything seems good and well. Except for the ones who main this guy Rengar.

Rengar is possibly the most unsatisfying champion to main right now, simply because those of us who actually otp him feel like we've received a giant middle finger from Riot. We hate everything about him. With the release of patch 7.7 Rengar is on his 7th nerf since the rework. I am fairly sure the whole point of the rework, was to make it so Rengar was in a more suitable spot to be balanced, yet he has received more nerfs during these past 5 months than all of his pre-rework nerfs combined. We get that Rengar is extremely strong, that he's picked in pro play constantly and that literally everybody not playing him hates him, but now we're at a point where Rengar mains hate him too.

  • The new Q is clunky and doesn't fit into Rengar's rotation
  • He gets changed all the time
  • Bonetooth necklace greatest too great a gap between good and bad
  • The W heal is extremely overpowered
  • The new Q literally 1 shots entire teams

/r/rengarmains has been exploding repeatably since the rework, and if you go check it out you'll see that a lot of posts are about how Rengar is unsatisfying to play both as and against. The only reason we still stick to him, is because we've stuck with him since his release, and it's hard to give up a champion you've been playing for 5 years.

The changes that'll make every Rengar main happy would be to

  • Make his Q an on-hit spell again (aka single target damage)
  • Make his W heal flat again (so we get rid of bruiser Rengar)
  • Put the AD increase back on empowered Q and make bonetooth grant utility again
  • If possible make his ult reveal 1/3/5 enemies at rank 1, 2 and 3.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BST3yZ0tanY&t=43s This guy is a well known Rengar main within the community, and so far all the pro scene and achknowledged Rengar mains agrees that he's in a really bad position right now for both the player and the enemies.

They should have changed him into a diver/fighter (would have made alot more sense with his overall design) as it would have been alot easier to balance him

The only place I disagree is that his new Q is clunky. I've been told you can fast combo with it like Riven would.

I mean, I know the feeling. I've mained this bitch Leblanc basically since I started playing league.

I have to say tho, u rengar mains got off light compared to us. A 1.5 seconds delay, the w SnapBack delay, clunky af ult, where u have to press 2 buttons, and if u press r u can't return to ur W. She's also lost all sense of who she is. The single target combo assassin. Before, because the sigil was only on q, and u could only mimic the last spell, so u had to combo the spells, now it's just plonk them all down in any order, just as long as there's a 1.5 s gap. And now she has this waveclear, so, because of this, she needs to lose her single target strength to compensate for something she shouldn't have, it's bullshit.

Tbh the only assassin rework I think really went well was talon, rengars is ok, but Leblanc drew the short straw. Leblanc item 3070

So far we're on our 7th nerf, which includes Q only doing 47 damage at level 1 (combined), reduced stealth timer, overall reduced damage, less AD from bonetooth and no cc immunity. We've received more nerfs during his rework period than all the years combined pre-rework. I get what you mean though.
