Ranked is just not fun. At all.

Now, hear me out.

I am not talking about the toxicity, the polaks/hungarians/romanians being an instant loss so you might as well dodge and transfer to EUW, or the fact that matchmaking is hellbent on forcing you into a 50% win rate no matter what.

I mean the sheer quantity of bullshit in ranked.

People go into ranked with the mindset of "What will make my enemy so miserable they just quit the game?" instead of "What will make for an entertaining and fulfilling competitive experience?"

People take Ahri Mid, they take Illaoi Top, they take Yasuo, Jax, Vayne, Thresh & Blitz, they take the most well-known overpowered bullshit and they win.

In normals, people pick whatever the fuck. And most of the time, my teammates are actually more than competent. I actually find the Normals MMR to work just fine in matching me with people of equal skill.

Not in Ranked though. You either stomp, or it is your turn to have the Romanian botlane duo on your team.
