Your Main isnt as difficult as you say it is.

Thoughout the event I constantly saw board posts about how either

Yasuo is super hard and mechanically intense. Definitely in the top 3 hardest champions in the game. Riven is brain dead.

Sorry bud. but you are both wrong. Your champions are not super mechanically demending.

Another champ that I see this constantly from is Katarina. Sorry but your champ is also pretty damn easy. So when someone points out something blatantly OP about your main dont just say "they are difficult"

Yasuo, Riven and Kat might not be the hardest in the game but, for a fact I definitely know they are harder than Warwick, Diana and Hecarim.

they are only difficult mechanics-wise. But the game is more than mere mechanics. Mechanical champions can more than likely ignore the other aspects of the game too.

Neither Yasuo and Riven are hard to pick up, they're face roll champions that should be perma - banned in low elo's because even if you don't feed them, someone else does and they end up snowballing out of control.

all champs are hard when you have a 3rd degree high ankle sprang and you are on pain killers and muscle relaxers while your foot/ankle is in a bowl of ice water

I am going to have to disagree with you. All of the champions that people say are hard are actually hard. I can't play any of them with any kind of success. If it is one for all and I get Yasuo, I go 0/15/3. Button mash champions don't work for me at all. I can only do well with champions that have longer cooldowns so I prefer tanks.

illaoi actually statistically has the 5th highest mastery curve for top laners

so yah she's pretty high IQ champ

Wet Dryman1 votes

Any idea where can I check that? Seems like a really helpful statistic.

someone on rebbit tracked all the winrates of champs from their first game to like the 200th and used that to determine which champs had the highest peaks.

don't have the link on hand though

I think it was something like you need about 20-25 games on a champ to start getting a decent winrate/performance. And that's true for mechanically demanding as well as so-called "simple" champs.

I mean... okay? It's not like you are the first person to say my champion isn't difficult.

MasterYi is mechanically difficult

I'm not going to go saying Riven is s00p3r h4rd omg maximum difficulty.

But you're lying through your teeth if you say she isn't mechanically demanding. There is no champion in the game with as many combos or cancels as her, nor are any as input-intensive as her.

"Difficult" and "mechanically demanding" may be somewhat tied together, but they are not the same thing.

My main is Singed. You wot mate?!

Kloqdq1 votes

I think you spelled Blitzcrank, Annie and Singed wrong.

For real though, those champions are all difficult in a variety of manners. Like for example, Riven has a TON of combos and animation cancels which take not only practice to get right, but proper game knowledge to use. Put a first time Riven, a 50 games in Riven and a 100 games in Riven in the same setting and you will see a massive difference in how they will play. Same goes for Kat, Yasuo, Zed, Fizz, Ekko, etc, etc.

It's a mix of their game knowledge and their champions gameplay elements. Old Kat was also a tricky champion because of the timings and overall game knowledge you had to have. If you had a lot of game knowledge you would be better at Kat by a good amount.

BlueBilberry1 votes

All champions require some game knowledge. Short and simple. The problems with the above mentioned champs is the deceptive simplicity. Everyone of the Riven/Yasuo mains you encounter is an "expert" on them - this means that they have the mechanics down. But whether they know how to play the rest of the game (and/or be able to stop telling teammates how to play their respective roles in the game) is quite another matter.
