Miss Fortune's Damage

Someone is going to do something about it? I mean, as someone who plays her a lot, I understand the cool "q bounce on a low health minion - there goes half of ur hp" thing. no one thinks it's a bit too much? Like she is doing absolutely INSANE damage from the get go. I won't even start talking about her ultimate. The all Korean build just made her a bit too much. again, I understand the nice q mechanic and all that. It's just too much, there is a reason she sits on 54.5 win rate.

I do not play her (or even the marksmen role) but I do understand how she works (because I play support) and I have seen my fair share of good MFs, poor MFs, Great and the bad. I have seen, what I categorized, two different builds with her. AD MF and Attack Speed MF. AD Miss Fortune is exactly that, getting 5 items all for the sake of AD and becoming a nuisance in power to Everyone. The only attack speed she gets is Berserker's Greaves and using her w Strut. With items like The Black Cleaver and Duskblade of Draktharr (Well... before pre-season 7 because I feel like the new passive won't work well with her but what do I know? We'll see) being part of the build. Good a minion clear she is not (I have literally seen a MF ULT a minion wave just to clear it [I guess I should specify that the minion wave was a wave left alone with about 20 coming to your turret, dealing 75-100% turret health damage]) but murdering everyone is her specialty. Then there is Attack Speed Misfortune. Which consist of getting attack speed items (No duh) and critical strike items. This Miss Fortune is the ADC we all expect. Eas(ier) to kill and better at minion wave clearing. Assming the crits don't get you, being killed by this build is harder.
Anyway, the point is, the insane damage partly depends on the build and also on the fact she is powerful. Knowing Riot, they would argue she is balanced because she has no means of escaping once hit. Because movement speed is gone. Actually, expect a buff with Miss Fortune Support ruining her gameplay (or did it recover since then?).

Those pen builds wouldn't of worked years ago when everything about miss fortune scaled off ap.

Her ultimate has always done physical damage. The direct scaling with AD wasn't until her most recent incarnation.

Actually the ultimate back then was able to be mixed damage. There was a way you could make the ultimate do majority magic damage in the past version with the E>R combo.

As someone who has played MF since release, I can guarantee you that her ultimate was never mixed damage. The only "exception" is when it applied Impure Shots, which was magic damage scaling with AD.

And I can tell you I have played with and against many AP MF prior to the marksman update and observed the type and amount of damage I was dealing when using the combo or even ultimate then compared to now. And back then, I remember the damage indicators indicating mixed damage.

Do you remember Death Recap being consistently reliable?

I don't, and neither does Pepperidge Farm.

As I said, the ultimate itself was never mixed. Impure Shots was the source of magic damage and it was applied by her ultimate in the iteration before the marksman update. However, I will concede that Impure Shots may not have directly scaled with AD.

Didn't build Deathcap. Built Liandrys

Irrelevant

And that's why I said "was able to be mixed damage." It took conditions from the user and sometimes allies and did not utilize Impure Shots as I didn't put points in W during that build. I remember enough AP MF to remember a simple E>R to an Azir melting him 90% of his life midgame. But that statement is also irrelevant.

It proced Impure shots iirc, which is why it did mixed damage.

She is a glass cannon though, her tradeoff is her extreme squishiness. If her damage is lowered she would have to be tankier, either by update or by dumping gold into tank items which seems unnatural.

What do you mean? when I talk about miss fortune I only compare her to other adcs, which are all glass cannons this way or the other.

ph1234k1 votes

Comparing her to other ADCs is exactly what shows the problem.

If MF is alone, she is dead. This is not the case with other ADCs, such as say Ashe or Ezreal or Vayne or Jinx or Tristana as they all have ways of managing without assistance. MFs only tool to counteract this is damage and the amount of damage it takes to counteract it doesn't come into play until late game.

Ashe and jinx can manage alone?

What Wilbor said. She is no more powerful than any other marksmen, say, Caitlyn or Vayne. She is just as squishy as Ashe, Caitlyn, Ezreal, Vayne, Quinn Etc. Building tank on a Marksmen is suicidal because they would take only 5 extra seconds to kill while dealing no damage. This isn't Poppy, whose q does percent max health damage, or Sejuani, whose w is percent max health, or..... They deal a set amount and lacking in damage means easy killing.

her win rate is 50.45%

and she is a lane bully who dont scale as hard as other adcs later in the game
