Sion buff: Make him steadily gain an impassable wall while charging his Q

AH TUT TUT! Hold that downvote button & let me explain.

So Sion is a big guy. A monstrous behemoth. The Undead JUGGERNAUT. Anybody who has fallen prey to this giant (God bless Helmet Bro's soul) will meet a disastrous end by being the end of his Titan-size feet foot. This is the big guy's summary.

So what's with the title? Well imagine how basketball players are picked. Mainly for example, the guy guarding the basket. In order to block the most space for the opponent to shoot the ball in, the player blocking it has to be a giant, and by stretching his hands, he would be one hell of an impassable wall where even Trump would prefer building his wall out of that basketball player himself.

So by applying that concept, in the face of the opponent, Sion would typically look like a growing giant as he stretches his axe out slowly into the sky blocking most of the sun out. With those humongous arms up in the air, enemies would even terrify having to attempt to try get pass him instead of going to the side.

And here's a brief example of how the wall would look like:

Reminder that the wall steadily grows when he charges his Q instead of being instantly appeared. The blue line represents how the wall was created when Sion is half-charged (the one that slows enemies), and the red line shows the fully created wall when Sion managed to finish charging his Q (the one that knock-ups enemies).

And yes, kits like Poppy/Vayne smashing enemies to his wall & etc also applies to him. Additionally, if Sion's Q is interrupted, the wall will naturally disappear as well.

So what you guys think? I just thought that Sion can have more presence in teamfights besides his slow casting CCs.

While this is an awesome idea in theory, Sion is too good atm to implement it. Maybe in a year or two if he is falling behind reworked/new champions we can bring it up.

Edit: kind of bad phrasing, he isn't too good he just isn't bad enough for a rather large buff.

Well Sion isn't a yordle, that's for sure.

This is a neat idea actually, i would support it if he wasnt a lane bully and moving behind him wasnt an effective way of dealing with him.

I would think this is a great idea if Sion needed buffs, but he's been really well balanced for a while now. I wouldn't want to mess that up by unnecessarily changing something.

Source: Sion Main.

Anything that prevents people from moving through him as he charges his Q is ok in my book.

Sadly it'd probably be a crazy big buff.

Sion has the second-highest winrate in bronze, at a whole 51%. Can you imagine the torrent of baddie salt this would unleash?

Ralanr1 votes

It's also bronze. Who cares?

Yeah, I doubt anyone in bronze can even make use of the terrain thing.

MagicFlyingLlama1 votes

It is not about making use of it, it is about people freaking out over a "game-breaking" buff, no matter how small it actually is.

Over 50% of players are in bronze or unranked. And Riot should care, because most of their profits come from bronze players, and they would have to put up with the massive amount of QQ, trolling protest, salt.

Look at Yasuo. He is not overpowered on any rational scale, but the amount of rage about him is incredible.

Can't imagine how when these guysYasuo LeeSin Camille are still here.

MagicFlyingLlama1 votes

Because they are not really overpowered, with the possible exception of lee sin.

There is a big difference between incredibly annoying and OP. Getting outplayed makes bads mad.
