Can we add in more short-mid ranged targeted silences?

Who would this seriously affect other than the high mobility short CD champions like Riven LeeSin Zed Yasuo Fiora Fizz

With shorter ranged silences, most mages wouldn't have to be concerned, ADCs have never really been concerned about them, tanks are maybe the most affected by it unintentionally, but even then it's minor. Most are tanky passively not through active abilities. I'm not asking for 3 second targeted silences, i mean like 1 second, maybe 1.5 of being able to actually punish these high mobility champions for their mistakes.

i spy with my little eye something that starts with D and ends usually in death play garen if you want a close range silence, he counters these champs pretty well and is rarely banned

Well yeah there are maybe 2 maybe 3 champions who are decent at stopping them with silences Garen Chogath Soraka, but this is actually just about it... yeah Malzahar has a silence, but against champions as mobile and maneuverable as the ones i listed, it's damn near impossible to land the skillshot.

And technically Blitzcrank has a .5 sec silence, but at that length it's really more of an interrupt, and Fiddlesticks is just unreliable.

The funny thing is, those are actually all of the silences in the game. So 5 champions are capable of reasonably punishing, not countering just punishing, a much longer list (more than what i listed in the OP) of champions who otherwise tend to go incontestable. It's not even a question of which champions i want to play, it's extremely rare to ever see a silence on a team at all. Let alone when there is almost always one of these toxic "0 punish" champions on the other team.

Considering that LB, Soraka, and Kassadin all lost their targeted silence, and that the only 2 left are Fiddle and Garen (on auto attack), I don't think adding more is in Riot's plan.

I'm just trying to bring up the point that targeted silences are less harmful to most roles in the game, only to those which most seem to complain about.

I think that's actually the issue they have with it; they're barely a nuisance to some champions, and a complete shutdown to others.

Although those champions who it tends to completely shut down, are the ones who have total tempo control. They're the champions who have their damage mixed with some type of mobility on very short CDs, without any type of limiting resources.

Because they lack any type of resource management, with short CDs attached to their mobility, they almost always have control over when to fight and when not to fight. In theory because they have the most control over position of their character (or in some cases your character LeeSin ) they are unkillable in a 1v1 situation or even 1v2 depending on the champion composition.

They have to misplay, because simply making a mistake, such as getting caught out or poor positioning, isn't enough to punish them. They have to make a poor initiation, expending their escape tools. Some champions can interrupt their mobility, but most methods involve some kind of skill shot. While the actual method of dashing is simply clicking in a desired direction.

Well it's equally, if not more, detrimental to immobile champions, so the mobility isn't really a factor imo... the main issue comes from silence on a champion that can capitalize on it (such as old LB and old Kass) so most lkely if that happens, that will be on either a tank or a support - both of which prefer harder CC in their kits.
