Make Malzahar healthy

I have been playing a lot less League lately, and part of that has been because my favorite champion has not felt fun for me since his rework. Some of my ideas on what his problems are and how to change him for the better.

-The passive The new passive is frustrating to play against and not that satisfying to have. It can save you, but having to stay out of a fight to let it refresh does not help malzahar's uninteractive play patterns.

-The minions These have seen constant changes since the rework to malzahar. When the minions were on his passive, they were a great way to show skill expression. Blocking a morgana q with a minion summon off of a q felt amazing and rewarded careful stacking and use of his passive. The new minions have been a roller coaster and are a bigger part of his kit, which feels bad. Dropping minions to farm the wave is now a more integral part of malzahar's play patterns, which keep him back at a safe distance and not interacting with his opponent. The minions also feel very squishy and pretty lackluster; i never feel good when they do get off damage since all I did was drop them.

-The ult I love malzahar's ult, but it is unfair to play against. Point and click suppression combined with his damage over time capabilities can make him feel awful to play against, and to make him healtier for the game this needs to go.

The changes: Make his passive the old minion summoning one. This felt better and was a unique passive. It took practice and skill to use correctly and being able to get out two minions at once for you ult took set up and felt better.

Make his w his shield. Give it a long cooldown and revert it so it lasts for maybe a full second after taking damage/being cced. Being on a long window means he can't waste it, and having to activate it means he needs to time it correctly.

Make his ult a skill shot. Make it a cone with a slow pulse that travels down the cone and picks up speed. The first enemy hit gets supressed and the pool, and all other enemies in the pool get snared briefly. This lets malzahar miss if he aims it poorly, lets enemies flash out, or lets tanks body block for carries. It gives it counterplay and makes it less devastating 1v1.

If they change his passive they will have to change his ult. Aside from Karthus and Xerath who can use thier ults successfully from the fog of war, Malzahar is the only mage who roots himself to root his opponent (WW is at least tanky and heals from using his ult so hes not at threat of dying like malz). Given that his ult is only on a 700 Range (pretty short, only 100 units longer than a Maokai Q, Illaoi Q has a 150 unit longer range) He is putting himself at risk to ult in team fights. His passive makes it so that He can actually ult without having to worry about literally anything destroying him.

when ever i go mid lane i hive to chose between banning Malz or Fizz. i usually go with malz because you can actually damage Fizz.

however Fizz is still cancer fish.
