What if Infinity Edge scaled into late game? Like off Champion Level

The idea behind this is to is so it's more of a late game item instead of mid game item. When you get IE + Shiv/PD, you're usually doing a lot of damage just with that. I would like to see IE become more of the late game item.

Here's the idea with numbers:

Base Stats: 60 AD, 15% Crit, Passive: 200%

Scaling: AD: (1.388Level) Crit: (0.833Level) Passive: (3.33*Level)

The max stats with this is: 85 AD, 30% Crit, Passive: 260%

This makes the item more late game oriented. Also, I think that 260% Crit Damage may be too much. But, I don't want to make it 250% cause it feels like the trade offs aren't there really. Possibly lower it and higher the AD to 90 at Lv18.

Thoughts?

I'm pretty sure that giving you 250% crit damage on ADCs who build more and more crit chance as they enter the late game is plenty of power. As it stands an ADC who builds a LW can render a tank completely and utterly useless.

Unless it's Rammus. He usually does pretty ok.

A change like this will likely not solve any issues with AD carry builds. The standard for ADCs is to build a good damage investment early while knowing later there will be a full damage potential to be reached. If IE is only viable late game, then carries will just buy it later, with more stats, and most likely go back to rushing Bloodthirster or Blade of the Ruined King for a different early spike to farm for late game.

The only differnce is later ADs will have more power later which is hardly where they are weak.

Item damage naturally multiplies against other items as you build up your arsenal, and item slot and function limitation is intentionally capped at a certain point that way players with an advantage do not have the ability to continue outbuilding their opponent indefinitely, if they can't make use of their lead before their foe catches up in level and equipment, than they lose their lead...

Now an item which changes or grows per level itself isn't totally bad as an idea, there are plenty of items which grow over time or will skill use, or kills, what kind of item it would be and what it's maximum potential would be would depend on the item and intended use, it shouldn't be something which carries already benefit from though...
