"We At RIOT do not like..."

Has anyone noticed that many of the reworks are champions who Riot does not 'agree with' how they are being played? Generally speaking, beyond one so far, these reworks of Champions, Items, and so forth are because the champion is not being played how RIOT wishes them to be played. Not that they are not being played. Not that they are not viable... that RIOT does not like how it's being used.

Wait a second. I thought RIOT made a game for players, not for it's own internal amusement?

It is easily seen on these forums, almost weekly, threads with dozens, if not hundreds, of up votes and positive comments based entirely on the idea that "X change is not something the playerbase wants at all." It changes nothing. Apparently RIOT believes that it has a firm grip on precisely how every champion needs to be built, and what role they must fill. If the champion crosses roles, builds a different way, RIOT changes the champion, or the items they use, to ensure that it stays in the box they intended for it.

If this continues, RIOT simply needs to take the market place away from players during the games, and decide on what items champions get at what levels. If RIOT wishes to honestly decide all aspects of game play, then they should do so.
