Yeah, killing it is great. A free ward and speed buff are pretty keen. But why doesn't it cough up a buff for the jungler like other folks do when it gets smote? Something as simple as a speed buff or a slight vision range increase would both be thematically linked to our crabby little pal.
Siachi1 votesIt's probably better to make it as undesirable to smite as possible: After all, you would mostly use the thing to grant vision of the river, often because you're going to fight Dragon or Baron. Now, keeping that in mind, you'd probably rather save your Smite for Dragon/Baron anyway.
While it's true you could just use it for ganking purposes or whatever, but given where it 'plants' itself for vision, it's pretty obvious that it's primary use is for Dragon/Baron vision.
Rebonack1 votesThe crab has a MUCH higher uptime than Dragon and Baron, though. Even something like doubling its vision radius if you Smite it could still be pretty darn useful.
I just really like the new Smite mechanic and would love to see it expanded upon.
