So the new dynamic queue is out, and it's already being slammed (rightfully) for causing massively unfair matchups. By allowing queues of 4-5 people to be matched up against solo players, there seems to be no logical reason to play solo in ranked anymore. Unfortunately, I'm one of those weirdos who actually enjoys playing alone. I didn't want to slam Riot right away for screwing over solo players, so I went to look for their rationale, which is where i found this gem:

"With the new Champ Select experience, we're giving players more benefits than ever before to play with friends because we believe playing with friends is the right way to enjoy League--we don't want the game to become an anti-social experience."

Oh. Oh sorry Riot, didn't realize that I was empirically playing your game wrong by preferring to play by myself. I guess I'll just go stand in the corner while I wait for my 4 minute queue to pop so can lose to a 5 man queue with vastly superior communication.

I guess that's why they let 4-man premades abuse the solo queuer as much as they like. The solo queuer is in the wrong for playing solo, that dirty bastard, how dare he.

Solo Queue is an utterly different game from Ranked Premades. I'm reluctant to even play Ranked 5's with RL friends because it's just not that fun to me, I don't know what Riot is hoping to achieve by lumping solo queuers in with random premade dooshbeags other than incredible frustration.

I'm with you, I enjoy just unwinding and playing some solo Q league of legends.

I ping and communicate as much as I need to, but I don't want to go full chat with a group of people and organize times to play and practice.

I just want to queue up whenever I want and enjoy the game by myself. Guess I'll be punished for that.

So how many games have you played in the new champion select?

Because your match history says zero at the time of this post.

Maybe you should try it first before ranting. You'd realize Riot thought of this situation and your chances the situation you're describing happening is very slim.

They don't let 4-5 man premades battle solo players, the system takes into account premades and causes them to fight other premades, not solo players.

Playing with friends in ranked is actually a bad idea...

You become SIGNIFICANTLY more toxic playing with friends, especially unskilled friends, than other people.

Isn't the dynamic queue supposed to avoid actually matching 5 man against full solo team? They said that's like .5% of games.

None of my friends play League. None of my friends want to play League. I don't want to play League with my friends.

Just came from a game where they counter picked me hard playing a Rammus and Fizz against me(Zed). Apart the fact I 5-0 the FIzz in laning phase. Rammus, Taric and Fizz all started to flash ult me under my tower. Even while ulting there was nothing I could do and would just die. They ended up winning the game even though we were ahead in kill and our top lane won 5-0 as well.

After the game I go to check how the hell they managed to win. They just out positioned us in objectives while we outskilled them hard. Duo of 3 vs all Solo players on my team. We literally lost due a coordinated backdoor cheese.

Felt pretty gutted as the other team was then toxic as the duo of 3 were laughing at how they beat us 5 solo Q players.

This is just one example but I already hate it. The new champ select is amazing. 3 4 5 duo;s playing against Solo Q players is pretty bullshit. Even if they have a silver player on their team against us all Plats, all it takes is 1 toxic player on my team, or 1 coordinated backdoor, or cheese plays to win.

Also on that exact same page: "we designed the system so groups will almost always play against similarly grouped opponents." Seems like you're just an upvote farmer trying to cash in.

Let's not forget the fact that the 4-5 man pre-made can easily pull up the information on the 5 players they are up against during the loading screen on one of the many sites that offers this data, and see exactly who the solo player on the other team is and take advantage of them since they know they won't be in communication with the rest of their team.

My favorite champ is ashe. With Team Builder, I could queue up as Ashe every single game. Now I get punished for 15 mins for dodging a game because I ended up in a role I don't want to play.

I mainly play solo. Probably won't be playing ranked at all because of the new system. It was bad enough going up against duo partners. Now I have to deal with full on 5 man parties . No thanks.
