Why We NEED Voice Chat

Many times in a game players will have their ideas and take 2 mins in total to type it out and hope for the best. Since league is a competetive game, we should have full voice lobby communication for all 5 players on the team. Many people would ask "But wouldnt that make it so people can flame me?"

Voice chat should be disabled by default, but enabled manually (since the main issue with voice chat on league forums is that you are afraid of being flamed, go figure, bunch of snowflakes) A lot of the time I see people say in forums how they should not have voice chat because they dont want to get made fun of. Honestly, ive played games with people typing kys in text and I send them a discord link and they are normal. This is because anyone can type anything, but not everyone can say anything. The moment you hear someones voice or their sincerity its not common for someone to have no trouble telling them to kill themselves. Lets say I have an Idea where my jungler can make a play. I type it in chat then that jungler doesn't do the play I asked. Regardless of if its the correct play or not, maybe my jungler had a different idea and couldnt type it or maybe she thought i'd be on the same page. This is actually why all league players hate eachother. Each game we have inputs and ideas to contribute but we all assume we're on the same page, but we arent. I link my discord server every single game and I play at least 15 ranked games per day, I dont get told to kill myself and toxic players are always toxic players in chat. With full lobby voice chat it would make the game 200% more fun and would connect each players ideas and overall make it a better fucking game. Also, PS: Being able to talk to your one duo partner isnt a substitution for voice coms...

I have no intention to voice chat with a screaming and screeching 12 year old whose voice hasn't changed yet and recieve vocal flame from him because i left him when he initiated that 1v5. No, no thanks. The only people i'd talk with are premades and there's already a system in place for that.

You don't need to type. Use pings, they're incredibly useful.

The root of the problem is that people don't use pings and then there's no communication..

@everyone saying somone's specific mic/voice/intentions are going to be annoying.. Why could you not simply select to mute that specific individual? I agree with everything this guy is saying, and mostly for Ranked queue, as far as normals matches I think that would just be troll city like ya'll are saying.

One big part of what he is saying is that people when speaking instead of typing seem to reach back in find their dignity and their compassion for others so they are not complete assholes when someone simply pings "?" at them. pinging is great, but as I said some people are ready to blow up at a simple "?" ping or lack there of. If I am playing ADC or trying to farm, sometimes it is difficult to say mia, or hey I think their jungler will be top side in 30 seconds, lay a ward or be careful please..

I just think it is something they should try and add to the game, if it is terrible, remove it..

Why do people here act as if there's no mute button? We need voice comms in a game like league , pings are useful. but honestly even in lower elo , sometimes they don't listen to pings. I think people would notice things faster , there's certain things you can't ping in a game like league with that much variety of champions and abilities. The same people complaining about having to hear "screeching 12 year olds" are the same people that won't mute in game chat.

If I had voice chat I would be cussing out people every single game for sucking, trust me, unless you are a god you don't want most people in voice.

I don't even care about the people that flame. The problem also lies with the people who have shitty mics, live in a place where there's constant noise (whether tv or family) and even those who just have some obnoxious music in the background at full blast. It happens all the damn time in every single game that has voice chat

Voice chat won't improve the game in anyway possible. I only use chats to talk to friends, anyone else that posts links to discords or whatever I just ignore and play the game as it is. I find it much easier to concentrate in silence.

I don't really feel like hearing screeching, hateful, annoying 12 year olds in my ear all game. Just use discord to talk to the one or two people you actually want to talk with.

Yes please, not having the ability to communicate with your team is real-time while at the same time controlling your hero is an essential part of any SERIOUS game

Voice chat is a must have for any competitive game, could you imagine pro players without it? It would be terrible and frustrating. Not to say that solo queue and pro play should be the same, although you would imagine that it would improve the ranks of those who use it. Additionally, it would stop people standing still while typing which would be great.

I'm not interested because it'd become very difficult to moderate a voice chat so if people were going to harass/flame/etc. others they could do so without there being repercussions, unless Riot was going to save everyone's voice chats and have someone listen to them whenever they were reported, because robots... aren't the greatest at listening to people's voices, unfortunately. And yeah, sure, there's a mute button (maybe) but that doesn't mean I want to play russian roulette hoping I don't get some a-hole who thinks it's okay to tell everyone to go kill themselves or call everyone various slurs at the top of their lungs, because for me it's different when I see it in type and when I actually hear it.

I'm also not interested because I don't want to talk to everyone, I'm not interested in chatting with people, I just want to play the game and have fun, and to me having to talk to everyone isn't fun. And, if it's available for everyone and someone such as myself chooses not to use it for whatever reason, how long do you think it's going to be before I start getting harassed for "not cooperating" or "not working with the team" simply because I don't want to talk? Not very long, I'd imagine.

Also I hear League Voice is kinda unreliable so maybe we don't want Riot messing with something when Discord works perfectly fine, and people can choose whether or not they want to be part of it, and it can actually be moderated.

I wish there would be voice chat inside of league. It's always nice to be able to talk to the people your working alongside with. And I feel as if it would reduce the toxicity. Typing first off takes a long time, and takes you away from the game so no matter what you say it's almost always combined with slang and very blunt. And the people your messaging you really don't know. The only knowledge that you are receiving to build there character inside your head is what they type, and there username. But once you hear a voice you hear all of the emotions and intent that they are using behind those words that they would have typed. And as I said before, you ussually arent able to say what you really want to say. And it would also work as advanced communication for the game. Since talking is obviously so much more effective then typing. More freedom is scary but it works in the end if it's used correctly. I believe that it would make the league experience much more exciting and fun. As well as more welcoming to new players since players could teach eachother much more easily. Please Riot consider my wish.
