Riot pls don't change Galio into a completely different champion...

I know that Galio is in the process of getting reworked. While I do appreciate Riot's attention, I cannot agree with their claim that Galio needs a complete makeover. Unlike the old Warwick and Yorick, Galio is actually doing pretty well right now, just not frequently played. He has clear counters and situations in which he thrives or fails. He certainly has a unique identity and a unique niche as a champion. He is an antimage that can be built into a tank/bruiser/mage. Yes, his kit would improve with a few touches. His overall mana cost for all skills could definitely be decreased. His e should be replaced with a dash with damage. His q could also see small changes. But I really think that's about all that he needs. I just hope that Riot realizes big changes and complex kits do not always improve the game. I will stay vigilant as Riot continues to release new champions and reworks. But I am positive that my stance I proclaimed here will remain quite firm.

His E needs changed, his W could use work. I love his W, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't really fit in today's game. Maybe a self stat increase that heals based on how much damage he has recently taken? Idk if that would fit him better or not, but it would fit the game better.

The only thing I don't like about his ult is that it is easily cancelled by champions that have a CC on their autoattacks, like Udyr, Braum, or Blitzcrank. Other than that it is great, and powerful to the point that it is difficult to make a skill set with an appropriate power budget. His passive should probably change too. Right now it is "build mr get ap" but that is not very engaging, and honestly giving some of his skills scalings with mr would achieve the same effect.

My change would probably be like this:

Passive: Galio occasionally ignores the next CC put on him. The CD is high but lowered when damaged or something. Q: Basically the same W: Gives you defensive stats and heals/shields based on damage recently taken E: Some kind of delayed jump? that creates wind in his wake that gives allies a speed boost R: Same as now but refreshes his passive

Would probably be way too strong, but it fixes his current issues. I think for him to be a truly balanced champion his ult will have to change considerably. Much like how Poppy's ult had to change for her to have a balanced kit.

Galio has alot of room for change. Boring Q, paper thin E, Hidden power W, gimmicky R and a gimmicky passive
