And I thought Talon's bleeding was underwhelming early game...

3+50%BonusAD+20%AP

Seriously, there are literally 3 AP champions in the game who can use it.

And why is the free grail only a tier 3 mastery?

Why do I have to spend 5 points to get 10AD at level 18?

Does anything actually make sense in the new masteries?

At least with the old masteries I knew what to take, because there was always something worth using. What keystone should I take as a poke mage? if my abilities are AOE, deathfire touch deals 3+10%AP, WHY IS THIS SO BAD?

Might as well call the Ferocity tree "ADC&Yasuo tree", because that's exactly what it is.

Unfortunally you must go with it right now because Thunderlord's Decree is bugged and time to time is inactive for a whole match.

I have the same problem with Xerath, expecially because there is no hint about how long must it pass between the consequential hit/spell to make TLD proc.

Deathfire touch really adds up on poke champions if you actually poke before a fight.

Can you tell me what those 3 champions are?

I can't seem to find them :/

The free grail is there because you also have to between 5% more CdR (and max Cdr)

Deathfire is much more specific than it at first seems. It it best used on long range poke characters who do not rely on dropping a combo to be effective (ziggs, xerath) OR on characters who win by slow burn and do constant magic damage over time (brand, morde, anivia, swain). On straight up burst characters, Thunderlord is better as it will deal roughly 2.5 times the damage deathfire does until you hit upwards of 700 AP. However, because of the nonexistent base damage, deathfire should only be put on characters that go full damage all the time, and even then it is weak early game until you get items. Once you come back with one or two stat items though, it can really turn a lane around, similar to coming back with a liandrys, it's a lot of free damage. It can also be put on AD casters for a little more burst and magic damage, but for most of them I would prefer going the Stormsurge mastery that gives you move speed when you chunk somebody, or the thunderlord because it just plain does more unless you poke constantly or stay in the fight for a long time. I think people saw "deathfire" and overrated it just because of that. It's not bad, but it's much less all-purpose than most people think.

  1. Are you a combo/burst character who blows people up quickly? Take Thunderlord.
  2. Do you constantly poke from long range or stay in fights doing gradual damage over time? Get Deathfire.

Meditation's actually really underwhelming, like a lot of the masteries in that tree.

Teemo works pretty well with DFT.

Riven item 3074 item 3812 item 3072 item 1321 item 3142 item 3071

Do not underestimate the power of her burst with Deathfire.

Compared to the old tree, its a lot more damage.
