Solo carries doesn’t sound right to me.

People have been going on about how top and mid can’t carry games anymore. My question is that really a bad thing? This is a game about teamwork. TEAM work. I just don’t like the idea that one guy can decide the entire fate of the game. I think if a lane did bad while the others did well, you can still do what you can until you get caught up. Every teammate needs to be as important as the rest. If top won lane and bot didn’t, that should not mean that the team loses, and vice versa. Don’t get me wrong. I didn’t like that adcs are overturned right now, but I also don’t like it that people think the way to balance it is to swap the adc’s current state with your favorite lane. I think all lanes need to be just as important, and if you lose lanes, you can make a comeback.

Well that’s the end of this crap show of a post that probably didn’t have any real point.

lol?

are you telling me that its justified for 4 decent players to get dragged down by one awful player?

no.

that was never fair or fun and it was never like that before.

carrying in general has become very hard due to riot forcing lcs style bullshit changes into the game FORGETTING that no one gives a shit about playing with their team.

if im better than my enemy laner u best believe i should be able to do something with it and snowball.

right now all u need to do top to stop every fighter from snowballing is picking a tank and rushing tabis and u WILL NEVER DIE 1V1.

teamfights come? that fighter gets permacced and dies within 5 seconds becuase ur champ was designed for monkeys by monkeys

I didn’t say that. I said that I don’t like the fact that 1 person should be able to carry 4 decent players or 4 awful players. I think everyone needs to pull their freakin weight without it relying on the adc or tank or mage or whatever the heck your playing.

lcs style bullshit

You mean team play?

FORGETTING that no one gives a shit about playing with their team

Then maybe the game works but a lot of players just refuse to improve in certain areas that are required to be successful. There is only one logical consequence. You need to quit.

no.

That's how it is in ANY team game.

To an extent, yes, it's bad. Because it strips away the fulfillment of being successful as a PLAYER. They've geared the game toward higher damage and shorter CDs, because it offers more "high moments" of play, or "feel good moments" (aside from shortening games). But those moments are short, and they leave the opposition feeling awful. And the influence around each lane varies, meaning various roles or champs offer more influence than others -- OBJECTIVELY. Rather than a specific champ may have a specific strength that assists them in having more influence within a certain window right now, the game has "evolved" to more of specific champions or items invalidate entire strategies or characters. And yes, even THAT could be fine, but the rate at which one's invalidated ranges from Champion Select to a First-Core-Item, and that is not okay. It's a door being closed on the player within the first 7 minutes of a game, if not the first MINUTE. It's not fun.

I applaud them for attempting a new direction, but it's just not one that's being received well or being properly balanced around.

You just need to tip the balance in the favour of your team. We are looking at small decision that matter and add up until you start snowballing.

The glorified "solo carry" is just delusional and comes with a complete disregard for the participation of your team.

So yea there is the glorified way of carrying a game which happens in 1 out of 10.000 games or when a challenger smurfs in bronze 5 and then there is the realistic way to win with your team. lul

That’s how I’ve always seen it and that’s how my games go. I’ve only seen a few games where one person solo carries, but it lead to the rest of the team getting caught up. Then it becomes a group effort. I’m bronze/silver tier, so I don’t know what it’s like further up, but in my experiences it’s not near as bad as people claim it is.
