The rework is a nerf to current Mordekaiser

Current Mordekaiser with his current Q + HoB can smash those cancer AD champs much easier and much earlier in game than the new one.

Good luck getting full build with new Mordekaiser when facing Zed Yasuo Talon Irelia Lucian Quinn Riven Renekton Urgot strong early game and early power spikes.

item 3022 is shit, item 3071 is much better and combined with item 3812 item 3155 there is no way any AD champ can die to any AP champ rotation or lose a duel against them. Except for a well built current Mordekaiser .

But Riot realized that and now they have completely reworked his Q.

I don't care about his current R or W, I just want his Q to remain.
