An important item niche

Okay so basically after seeing so many of my favorite champions like Ryze,Sylas,Galio,Rumble,and others getting these either placebo buffs or gutted for doing well I feel it's become really obvious that a certain item niche is lacking in options. Of course I'm taking about short range/melee mages who lack anything close to what their ad counter parts have because think about it the ad champions have stuff like Conqueror,Black Cleaver,Spear of Shojin,Guardian Angel,Maw of Malmortius,and a few other options for their more bruisery/sustained fighting styles but the Ap people don't really get that. Now I'm not an expert on these sorts of things but can maybe we try to get more close ranged based Ap champion exclusive items sort of like how sure you could build crit on a say Zed but he's got assassin items or Renekton but he's got bruisery items can we get some more itemization for Ap characters. I don't know maybe dig up some old items or bring in a new mechanic for close range Ap people since they have to either be super bursty as Hel to do anything or get blow the f#@k up. I mean you clearly don't want them to have shields anymore since what you did to Sylas and Ryze but you aren't really solving the issue either since they start to have their numbers messed with until you guys at Riot give up on them. Hel bring back the Dodge stat for them maybe that'll do something I don't know because I'm just frustrated seeing lots of champions I play get f#@ked with because people complain about them until I either don't wanna play them or they aren't even close to the same as before.
