I get that Kayle not being clad in armor makes a lot of you upset but quick question. How many of you actually play Kayle enough to have a true opinion on her looks? Like I don't mean you played her on ARAM after rerolling twice I mean as in you have her in your top 3 champions played and besides I see something similar to how Aether WIng Kayle looks plus it could have been a whole lot worse. As for everyone complaining about the looks of Kayle can yall at least wait until after the character's lines,lore,moveset,and interactions come out to declare something a failure of design. I mean jesus f#@$ing christ she's not even on PBE yet. Same on yall for being shallow if someone's appearance is enough for you to not play them though considering the champion involved it doesn't matter anyways since none of you play her in her current form,s#!%, and I'm one of the first people to say f#@$ you to Riot but it tends to be for a good enough reason rather than just how someone looks. Seriously what the hell it's not even on pbe yet and yall wanna Riot about this. Worse part is you guys are so predictable that I know you all are gonna down vote this thread because it doesn't fit your opinions. [zombie-brand-facepalm]

We're not even complaining about her gameplay, so there's nothing to wait. She just looks seriously small & petite compared to her current looks.

Being a main or a fan of the champ does not entitle you to determine how that champ looks though so the point is irrelevant.

I for example am a Morg main and while I love how she looks, I myself would have opted for a more womanly look. With those big eyes and cute little nose she looks very young. But oh well, I don't lose it over what is essentially a creative decision by the developers whom still hold all the rights concerning their creations. It really doesn't matter how much time and emotions I personally invested in the champ (regardless of how much that annoys me at times)

I do appreciate the sentiment of calming down though.

I'm the only one who seems to actually enjoy the new design. Im not comparing her to her old self because this is a different iteration, its comparing 2 different characters for me. Im just happy she looks beautiful (save for giraffe neck thats kinda funny). I have never seen people complain about aether wing but i know that every kayle ive ever seen uses it over classic anyway, and she was still in character regardless.

It seems really shady to me that people are complaining about this design.

Used to play her a ton, then eventually started playing her less and less over the years. Still think she has one of the best default looks in game aside from her helmet which is why I was really happy at the time when I got unmasked kayle.

I preferred the red/golden colors and armor. Don't need to be a kayle main to say you preferred the old art better.

I've tried to play her. I don't 'cause I just can't. She's one of them mechanical clusterfoxtrots I just can't come to terms with and can't learn. But that doesn't invalidate my opinion that she looks horribly. And I'm pretty sure at least 80% of Kayle mains are pissed.

I've been mulling over making a thread or something defending Kayle's new design. But I think I'll wait on that until the community on the Boards calms down a little bit and is willing to give an ear for an honest discussion. Not to say that I don't have criticisms of the new design (I have a lot, actually), but to say that her new design doesn't have ANY positives is way too rash.

Does it matter if you "play her enough to have an opinion on her looks". Fiora was my most played champ before her rework, and my opinion didn't mean jack shit on her rework. So why do people suddenly have to play Kayle a lot to have an opinion that will go largely ignored.

If they don't like it, they don't like it. Its a drastic change that took something that stood out and was honestly pretty iconic, I mean Kayle was the face of the tribunal, her floating there with her sword posed in the middle of her body, every semi seasoned league player has seen that, they know who that is. That was a perfect look/theme for Kayle, and now its been replaced with some captain marvel looking shit. If they don't like it, thats fine it doesn't matter if they have 1,000,000 mastery points or not. Kayle's change is like if they gave Katarina blonde hair and took away her scar and gave her an axe. Its so different from the character everyone knows. Gameplay =/= aesthetic.

Actually, the main reason to downvote this thread isn't because it doesn't fit our opinions, but rather because you claim that we aren't enough of a True Scotsman to have opinions.
