lol are you fucking kidding me? He has a 70%+ ban rate and his playstyle is infinitely worse than before, it's both more one dimensional and weaker. No malz player will tell you, yeah, you totally improved him in every way. How can you just destroy a champ like this, clap your hands, and go yeap that's gg mission accomplished.

he's still a top tier mid lane champion, people just hear space aids and think he can wreck the jungle camps so fast, which he can't anymore. he's still a good pick for objective control but his ganks are just too weak until you get rylais if you dont have your ultimate up.

With all tht said hes still broken in the mid lane

I feel like there is a bit of conflict between his ban rate and your perception that he was made weaker.

He is weaker, he's just less fun to play against and infinitely easier to play. There's no thinking, you just start pushing at lvl 1 and that's it.

Malz went from being a "sleeper" top tier pick which you could use to basically solo-carry games in bronze/silver (alongside the likes of yasuo/zed/voli) to a "known" top tier pick which you could use to carry games in bronze/silver. While I'm not saying he was made worse, changing something that wasn't exactly broken to begin with just because skins weren't selling or LCS people weren't playing him has definitely made me want to play him less. Or more accurately, I would play him but people legitimately fear him as opposed to a month or so ago in which I could steamroll teams with them banning him like 2% of the time.

First off, while I don't claim to be a saint, cussing doesn't help your case.

Secondly, because people are still banning him, it is hard for riot to get all the data they need to tweak him. Notice I said tweak. It is highly unlikely they will revert him or rework him again.

Thirdly, while its true that just about every Malz player will find SOMETHING wrong with the new kit (lack of flat damage on ult in my case), there are some who do like the rework. I used to play AD Malz top before rework and wreck lane. Aside from minions being weaker, it's even better now that I can get them on command.
