MIkhael's and Kayn's Ult

I just played a game as Blitz (It's ok, you're welcome), and we had this annoying as shit lux that was terribly good at hitting my adc who was also not so good at the dodging so I got a mikhaels to counter that and I used it on people stuck with Kayn's ult and twice it looked like it pulled him out of the ult (not the damage, just him being up inside them). I was wondering if I could get some confirmation on that being a true thing or was it him pressing buttons exactly as I did twice (possible).
