Seriously, why are people crying so hard about Illaoi?

You really think the 4 litte videos actually show what she will be ingame?

A few things you might have missed:

The tentacle attack is delayed, they all hit in the videos, because the champions didnt move. The big bursts of damage only happened when multiple tentacles hit at once. When they showed her E pulling TFs Soul out, they gave her a freaking VAYNE as additional damage source, the most broken ADC damage wise. If you would replace her pull with any snare/stun/etc. , TF would have suffered even more damage that he did in that video.

Seriously, we dont even have numbers, and you cry OP based on 4 short clips, showing best case scenarios...

idk if she's broken as a whole or not, but her E definitely feels like an ultimate-calibre ability. imagine the pick and flank potential

? making the case that ult arent always the strongest ability of a champion. besides whats shown looks like she is at full build, im kind of curious as to if she is a ad bruiser or a ap bruiser.

She doesnt really pull the champ, and he can just walk out of it. While taking all the damage, TF stood still. Later they showed him walking out. His sould took 5 second of a full powered Vayne in damage. attacking TF himself for half that time would have killed him.

In addition, he was able to run out of the zone in just 3.5 seconds later in the video, meaning a Morgana snare is actually worse than Illaois sould pull.

One it does look like you can't be killed by the spirit being killed(good thing). Two while he was walking out only Illaoi was attacking, and 3.5 seconds of taking damage while trying to get out of the zone plus a "Heavy Slow" and random tentacle to the face.(although it does seem to be easy enough to dodge if you keep moving) 3.5 seconds plus the slow would put him past Morgana's snare. You are right though no numbers can't complain about them. I made a discussion about how I felt the E ability seems more like an ult than her actual ult does,(before I realized it can't kill you). She does seem to have a pretty heavy kit, much like Thresh.

I think you can, but only if you take a lot of damage with your real body after the spirit gets pulled out so that the spirit damage will actually be sufficient to kill you. For example, if you have 1,000 health when the spirit gets pulled and then you get reduced to 250 health before the spirit is damaged, the spirit could take 1,000 damage and deal 25+45% of that to you and kill you. I think I saw that when I was playing her on the PBE, but it was in a teamfight so I can't be entirely positive.

At the very least, you can never be killed just from your spirit getting pulled.

She's too immobile so I doubt she'll be as much of an issue as people think.

And there's the fact that people don't even know her stats yet... so... yeah... human nature to complain I guess...

This is exactly what I was thinking. Of course everyone's expecting to charge in like they did the first time Azir was released (Not to mention how literally broke, & in need of repair he was, & still is but I digress) but it's not like the tentacles are going to slave for you. They have a long wind-up that I'm not even sure attack speed would change. Although I like the champ, I feel like attacking with her tentakills would be the equivalent of Ekko's stun, or E. everyone, & their mothers knocking on the door asking them to take the trash out knows Ekko's E not only went off, but it's obvious where it's going to land, & you can't really expect to land it early-game, unless you are using it from the fog-of-war. I seriously hope I don't have to kite into bushes just to get my tentakills to land a hit. She seems pretty tanky as well. If anything: She's a tanky Azir with a more than predictable Ekko E tentakill attack. If you don't avoid it? people complain about how op she is. imo, ranged champs would turn her into a victim of tentacle Hentai

Having played her on PBE and having my friends have a go with her, she is quite stronger then she probably should be currently. But only later into mid game.

Have you tried her as support yet? I'm a support main and I try everyone there at least once. The E looks like it could make for easy harass. What is the cooldown?

COOLDOWN: 20 / 18 / 16 / 14 / 12

It can be good harass, but your tentacles can be shot down by the enemy ADC, I don't know if she can be viable as a support considering her CC is a bit lacking.
