Riot: Serious question/discussion about SoloQ vs DynamicQ ranking and rating of players.

Right out of the gate I'd like to hopefully foster a positive and informative discussion about the ranking/rating of players in ranked now. Please keep any of the usual complaints and bashing to elsewhere.

My question for you Riot is do you feel you are currently successful at rating solo and team ranked players in the same system. If not, is this something that you feel you can do in the future? Any insight would be appreciated.

I am NOT talking about the matchmaking difficulties of mixing the two. Just the ability to rate the two types of players consistently and accurately. In past seasons you could compare various players of the same division and tier, and they would be roughly equivalent in skill at the game as long as they had played a significant amount of games. I feel that with the current system we're now trying to rate individual skill and team coordination together in the same system, and it muddles the clarity.

Are we getting situations where a player changes from team to solo, or solo to team for a game, and suddenly finds themselves playing way above or below their rating? I know the makeup of my normal games change dramatically from solo to team based matchmaking.
