Request for a New Mode to help players learning Roles

What I have in mind is something semi-generic for sure but the learning curve for players wanting to learn additional roles besides their main role is a little high, to the point where it's almost discouraging imo.

I was thinking maybe there be a "Role Tutorial" sort of thing, where Maybe I'm interested in learning Top lane, you (RIOT) could give some sort of vague premise of what the Role (TOP in this case) is suppose to do generally but also advise people on some top lane champs and let them screw around for a few minutes on them even if they don't own the champs. So like you would have 4-5 different 'types' of Top laners in this tutorial to further show what the responsibility of top lane is; Riven, Quinn, Cho'gath, Ornn, Tryndamere (as a example) let people screw around against some A.I. and really show them what Teleport can do (the way i envision it is like some random skirmish breaks out on the map and it's like some big NOTICE '!' and in the tutorial the player is suppose to TP to a Ward or something to join the fight).

Explain some of the nuances of the Role and also explain how important certain elements are such as (still a top thing) but vision to avoid ganks since you are on a island. People need to better understand the role even if it's just a 10 minute crash course there are things like that which could really help out in players understanding the role before they even step foot into a Blind or Normal Mode.

Explaining things like jungle pathing and even giving a Route for some of the Junglers just as a crash course but stressing to the player that you are free to go anywhere. Show players what happens when they invade like another Notice '!' you just ran into the enemy jg, and at the end of the encounter maybe a lil bubble box can pop up explaining how vision works or priority or something along those lines that way people can understand some of these things.

Also at the end of the mode give people a Choose your own Adventure sort of test, where they are free to go for the "suggested" play that you showed in the original example or they can make their own play BUT give another pop up about the risk/reward on the play they've chosen.

Overall I think that understanding the Roles should be a little easier to pick up from a philosophical standpoint anyways. The lines of each role aren't really set in stone and tbh many players don't actually see that and giving variety of roles but also showing some of the impact the role/lane can have is important as the game develops because imo there are a lot of players who are maybe wanting to learn new roles but it can be really intimidating at first picking up and learning and to some ppl discouraging. I know this is very generic overall but the point is to show variety and differences in champions before the players actually play in any games with people; it helps players pick up new champs more quickly in some cases but more importantly learn things that could take them 20 games to learn unless they have a friend who literally babies them through.

p.s. it'd be also a nice addition to show basic combos for the champs for example kallista is perfect example, i would say make a mode based on trying to explain that kit to someone who is brand new to the game or ADC but also let them play it and do something so they understand how to string together moves/combos and what a basic trade pattern looks like with that champ

Its an interesting idea, sure, but the only problem with this is: Many people dont think (including me) that riot should at all enforce a meta, even the selection by role tab is annoying, and should be removed, but doing this would start to enforce things like TP on top, or ignite on mid, while also saying "these champions are good for top, play them".

i would say it's not so much about enforcing a meta as it is as giving a general idea.

i mean i play cass ADC sometimes and many people don't really understand why cass can work in the bot lane.

Having said that, it's also why i said there should be parts in the tutorial/mode that shows "pros/cons" like yea i play Quinn Top and understanding what she can do is actually more beneficial to developing a meta since it empowers me with the idea that "Maybe i can find a champ that has a similar strength to her and play it"

So I could say "because I know Quinn has great damage and can out range most other top laners, that means I can find other ranged champs with good damage to also abuse top"

i'd say it's not so much about saying "You MUST play these Champs and only these!" but more like "Hey here is a idea of some of the things you will experience in this lane"

Imo. Minigames that train basic mechanics are a good tool.
