Heavy LOL client

Has anyone recently felt that the LOL client is crazy heavy on resources. Every actions is lagged to death and looking at the CPU usage and idle client waiting in queue is taking +30% CPU. There is no fluency (the game runs at steady 50+ FPS though). Its a shitebox right now. Every click especially at champion select is crazy slow. And it gets laggier as you play more and more games...

Is this the next 1 year of this new client?

Make sure you go into your client options and tick the "Low Spec Mode" and possibly even the "Exit client while in a match" one. It works wonders for your fps

Well. More and more people are also reporting huge FPS stuttering and drops since like patch 7.20. It increased rapidly during last 2 patches. I myself am a victim of it. Basically before I could lock down FPS to 60 (my monitor has 60hz refresh rate so I dont need more than that) and be fine even in the hottest teamfights. After patch 7.24 with fps cap set on 60. FPS are unstable. On the beginning it goes down to 55 and it makes whole screen stutter. Later in the game FPS drops nearly all the time to 30 and less. The only solution is to cap fps at 120 (at 80 works same as at 60), but still fps often drop even to 70. Considering my computer specs it is impossible to have such poor performance. Especially when even on the lowest settings the same thing occurs. Riot was reported with this bug many times for last 3-4 months and did nothing but empty promises. Closing client during the game does nothing. Even starting windows with nothing, but the most needed services doesnt do anything. So it's not performance of the system or hardware, but simply the client got screwed up big time. Additionally fullscreen got screwed up. It doesnt work as intended anymore. It works like Borderless(fullscreen).
