Passive: Idk if his shield is stronger now or not but its 25% of his max hp (131.25 at level 1 (max hp 525) and 491.25 at 18 (hp 1965)) which is weaker than before (around 900 shield at lvl 18) if you don't build hp. But it never goes below 25% now.

Q: Mace of Spades now leaves his next autoattack as normal, then his second does triple that, and his third triple the triple. No more ap.

W: His whirlwind-of-metal ability now causes target ally and himself to run faster towards each other and, if they arrive, deal dmg over time in a circle around each which overlaps in area and damage, then extra detonation damage which heals Morde and his ally for the detonation (heals for third of dmg on minions / not monsters).

E: His cone damage ability is now just as strong in ap and also has an equal ad ratio (0.6)

R: Same, but ghost has less ad, but can now ghost dragon.

So his W has more utility and is quite likely much stronger, his his E is twice as strong, and his Q is probably stronger too, his ult is about as strong since dragon has 100 ad, plus he has about equal damage diversity with his full ad Q, half ad E, and autoattacks, which allows him to switch focus from damage type to damage type to avoid certain defenses. His full tank build is also strengthened.

you really can't read can you?

all of his skills still have their old ap ratio's and the heal portion has 0.3 ap

his shield is stronger especially if you build a bit of health 3.4 k which i reach almost every game gives me 800 shield

if you were to build full tank you could have a shield of 1 K once you hit the 4 k mark

remember that without any form of damage items whatsoever his shield will go FULL if you hit 6 champions. 15% X 6 is 90% plus the flat gain from damage itself.

so a full tank build would have a potential 1 k shield available on a 5 second cooldown...... that is if you hit everyone which i doubt will happen.

his shield endgame is actually there instead of being gone after 1 auto of an adc.

Idk abt full tank since you get more shield from E with ap focus (since its 25% of E dmg + 3.75% of hp, giving more shield for the dmg than hp even if hp is more in amount) and even if you have, as you say, a 1k shield you'll need to work somewhat to raise it that high the only situation I can imagine right now is baron but idk I need to try this first. Ofc best Morde is tank; 3 tank items and 3 damage items. Ofc.

Old passive was 90(+30 * level) which scaled 120-630 shield. It decayed at a rate of 3.6-18.9 per second.

New passive is 25% of HP. His HP ranges from 525-1885, so the shield scales 131.25-471.25 naturally. It decays at a rate of 2% of his base HP per second, or 10.5-37.7, and it never decays below 32.8-117.8 without items.

Conclusion; better in combat, doesn't hold as well for sustain. Does not keep up with old shield strength unless you build 635 bonus HP.

New Q deals bonus magic damage scaled on both total AD and AP, starting at 4/8/12/16/20 (+25/26.25/27.5/28.75/30% AD) (+20% AP), and the final strike dealing 16/40.5/75/121/180 (+100/132.9/171.9/217.4/270% AD) (+80/101.25/125/151.25/180% AP)

The total damage dealt is insane if you can land all three strikes on one target.

And it's a fantastic self-heal tool in the lane.

It lost base damage for the AD ratio, and it's not quite as strong as before, but the % shield gain is amazing.

R: Same, but ghost has less ad, but can now ghost dragon.

So his W has more utility and is quite likely much stronger, his his E is twice as strong, and his Q is probably stronger too, his ult is about as strong since dragon has 100 ad, plus he has about equal damage diversity with his full ad Q, half ad E, and autoattacks, which allows him to switch focus from damage type to damage type to avoid certain defenses. His full tank build is also strengthened.

But his solo laning will continue to be trash if he can't use his W without an allied champion.
