Why is RIOT complete garbage at Matchmaking?

I've been in multiple games now where I've played against Plat and Gold players. I'm LVL 26! This shouldn't be F@CKING HAPPENING! I don't play with any friends who are upper ELO. I only ever play solo-q. This is complete horseh#t!

How does this keep happening and how the F#Ck do you idiots suck so bad at making balanced games???????? It's seriously baffling!
