It seems like azir as a champion was introduced and then 2 patches later was
. So why do we even have this champion if Riot is just not going to make him good enough to play. Why did they release a champion that they had no idea how to control and then almost disable him. The champ seems like he is just revenue. Especially after Riot almost pulled an EA saying that this champ was going to change everything and turned out to change absolutely nothing.

TheRakkun1 votesHe was hardly that strong, he had clear weaknesses:
His damage output required you to forgo your escape, making you VERY susceptible to ganks and retaliation
His mana costs are very high early game, so play aggressive to make him use up all his mana trying to poke you out.
His escape requires all of his abilities, and is at a huge delay in comparison to other champs
Due to being a sustained damage dealer he is very susceptible to burst champs
If he decides to be aggressive he has to really manage his positioning or else he can just be taken down with impunity
He basically has no ult, it's only use is selfpeel, something champs like 
don't need to give up ults for. and it's only good against melee champs.
Saying he was way too strong before is a BIG misunderstanding of his kit.
