i am very much glad the Weeb Guar... Cough Star Guardian event is over. I actually had to stop playing the game during the event because it was giving me optical cancer.

Honestly i just wish riot would stop adding in so much weeb shit to this game.

Right because Urgot didn't happen, and swain is just a pipe dream and never will happen. I can agree with you on Zoe, delete her, but some color greatly helps a game's appeal. No one wants the always dead serious, grim dark characters and skins.

Generalizing a whole community based on a loud minority, or in this case a bunch of stereotypes isn't very fair of others who may genuinely like the art style, culture, and stories the media tells.

You can generalize any culture, including gaming. "Gaming encourages violence and people murdering others because of news stories proving it."

It's not fair to anime/manga culture and history that is actually extremely interesting and not just moe girls and lolis and child porn. That's something really awful to assume of people when there are thousands of anime and manga that are perfectly normal. Any media has a bad side, but thinking it is the ONLY thing that exists is a bit disrespectful.

And the other part is that anime has no had really any influence on the part of gaming culture in which im from.

It really hasnt influenced CS GO (outside of literally 1 skin that exists purely as a meme) and Ghost Recon. Or Insurgency, Or literally any of the games i play.

Thankfully none of that <MOD EDIT> shit made it into the game.

And i started playing league of legends a very long time ago before any of this stuff was in the game.

The game had more of a serious tone to it. It wasnt like it is now.

I am not saying they are weeb material. I am saying they are not serious characters. A lumbering brute who forgets his name and is so dumb that he dresses up as himself for halloween is not a serious character, it is a comedic one.

I am saying your outlook on the game is a bit off. It was never a serious game. It has always been a mix of serious and cutesy and comedic material.

Are poro's that serious? Is a 9 year old girl who carries a teddy bear that serious? Is a boyscout who hops through the forest picking mushrooms that serious?

They had comedic elements to the characters, but the lore or depth behind the characters had some more serious tones to them. Amumu Is trying to figure out who he was. He cant remember his past and is horribly depressed because of it. Thats far from Cutesy.

Mundo killed neighborhood pets and then started murdering people for his own "experiments" then he experimented on himself and became Hyde or mundo And the only funny part of his character is that he is pretty dumb now.

Teemo is a member of his city's military. he isnt a boy scout. he is a scout. As in someone who goes ahead and checks the area. and he picks mushrooms that explode. he isnt a cutesy characters.

And Annie was designed as a fire mage first and a little girl second. The characters were vastly different. and all had serious tones to them. Hell even Mr Fabulous himself was a serious character. iirc his family was murdered and so he started using the power from some ancient gems to be able to fight or something like that.

Poppy is a fierce warrior with an even fiercer personality, Poppy wields her hammer judiciously and frowns heavily upon any Star Guardian who is doubtful (or in Jinx’s case, flippant) about the call of the First Star. While she doesn’t see herself as a hero, she is often the first Guardian on the battle lines, ready to put her duty before everything else. Her no-nonsense attitude carries her team along, especially at times of indecision. To Poppy, the universe is black and white: you’re either here to smash anything that threatens the sanctity of the cosmos, or you’re getting smashed.
