Can I get a Riot reply o.o Or feedback of it in general.

I pretty much have an issue/what I've been through in league/solution For anyone who wants to skim through. (I try not to make this a book but I want to break it down best as possible.)

(issue) Look, it's clear your crew wants to fix Solo Q, along with all the rank structures of better match making, I agree it needs fixing. However the main problems I see in rank (And I'm sure many people have seen this happen).

You are going to get a hand full of players that want to smurf and just throw the whole match making statistics off simply because

A) When they did the placements they got knocked into a tier no where near their level. I'm not going to sit and sugar coat it, you CAN tell who is a good player at a champ and just destroying a whole team single hand. I mean he/she just killing and roaming on a team you feel like you and the rest of the team just being there for support. (No offense to support roles <3 you all for your sacrifices and wards). (me) When I FIRST played League it was done by an ELO system. You weren't so much graded by a win or lost but on how well you did. (personally like that.) Next season I got played in Silver, then I got gold, and last season I got plat. So I have been improving over the years.

Solution

A ROUGH idea like structure I see for match making in general would be Each person has a GRADE in their lane. (Let me reword it.)

I'm a plat support and jungle but I'm a Silver ADC. (makes since?)

Instead of one overall grade that throws you in one populated group. You match up with how well your lane ability is.

I've I'm warding like a Boss, timing my CC and have Assist like crazy, you should be matched with ADCS that can work with a support like you.

If you top lane but won the game even though you went 2/7/4 You shouldn't be proud having a title of gold or silver if that's your score every game.

The rank grade system we have at the moment grades S,A,C ect ect however I think those should also aid in placements per role as well. But that's my idea theory to it anyway..

The queueing system can't really work like that.

This also has an issue in that your rank is based on your overall performance. If you're a plat jungler but a silver ADC, you're not a plat player. It means you specialize in a role, and in what that role does. Junglers don't work on CS the same way the others do. Neither do supports. You get an MMR based on how you do as a player, not as a role. If you excel heavily in a role, then in theory, playing at a plat level will climb you to that rank. Teammate hindrance can only go so far.

It's nothing personal against you, but I've seen and heard many "I'm this ELO, but in this role, I play at this ELO." I don't deny you're a great jungler, and maybe at a plat level, but unless you're a plat level player, you don't deserve plat. Teammates being your downfall is used as an excuse, similarly as ELO hell. If you are good, you will climb. Challenger players didn't start there. They still played with feeders, afkers, etc. They just learned and got good.

Even if you do extremely well as support, unless you climb by being a good player, it's not really fair to match you with equal rank ADCs, so to speak. Even the top laner can't be measured by the KDA scoreboard. I've had Tryndameres or Hecarims go something like 2/7/4, and the game was won because they sat top and splitpushed their hearts out and sometimes could not escape when collapsed on. KDA is only part of performance. The game is won with objectives, kills just make it go quicker.

And also, be wary of over-inflating your self image. you may think you're plat level, but does that mean you are? It's really subjective, you know? The only hard way to know is your League rank. But I promise you, if you deserve a rank and play at that rank, you will get there. The Challenger pool isn't monopolized by a group of pro players. There are constantly new challengers landing in that rank. They weren't lucky to get there. They powered through afkers and noobs.
